Marcel Stam ABC Academy Review: 8 High-Ticket Selling Strategies for $10,000 Weekly in 2 Years?

July 24, 2024

Marcel Stam’s ABC Academy is a learning program that teaches high-ticket sales and digital marketing. It focuses on building a personal brand as a high-ticket remote closer. The course also teaches online marketing techniques to sell digital products. These lessons should help you in rebranding and reselling the same course. Thus, ABC Academy is an example of a course with Master Resell Rights (MRR).

There are currently no reviews of ABC Academy from popular platforms like Trustpilot. Also, student testimonials are limited to what Marcel Stam shares in his sales videos. You can find YouTube comments to his videos, but they don’t really tell much about the program itself.

According to ZipZecruiter, the average salary of a high ticket remote closer as of July 2024 is $2,934 a month. Based on the same statistics, those $4K a month or more are exceptions or less than 1%. This is far from Marcel Stam’s claim of earning $10K a month in high-ticket sales.

Another income source that Marcel proposes is selling digital products. Currently, the only digital product that he offers is the ABC Academy. It is priced at $497 and it is one of the hundreds, or even thousands, of courses with Master Resell Rights (MRR). Needless to say, the biggest problem of the MRR space is its quick saturation.

In this ABC Academy review, we will discuss the course’s strategies in high ticket sales and digital marketing, who it is for, and how realistic Marcel Stam’s earnings claims are. In the end, we will cover the legitimacy of high ticket sales and its present challenges.

It’s a dog shit course and Marcel is a scammer happily taking money from people he knows will never earn it back. There is no high ticket closing it’s only affiliate marketing – worth maybe a few hundred bucks not 9k AUD 😂

This has to be the furthest review from the truth. Maybe before you spread info online do some proper research first. First of all, it’s not “Marcel’s ABC academy”, secondly the mentors have extensive experience in both closing and digital marketing. Thirdly it’s not $497.

Coming from experience, the training/coaching/guidance has allowed me to excel in the industry and land remote sales roles using my experience/knowledge from ABC and live a life I once dreamed of. As well as building lifelong friendships and networks.

I advise you adjust this review with correct information. I would reinvest even if I didn’t get a return.

The course has a lot of content. I might as well try reselling the course even though a lot of people are already doing the same and for the same content. I just need to land a sales closing job now and see how it goes. There’s no real coaching here because I just received a big file for the course copy.

Marcel Stam's 8 High-Ticket Sales Strategies To Earn $10,000 Weekly in 2 Years

Marcel Stam’s high-ticket closing strategies focus on a detailed sales process. This involves deep understanding and connection with the prospect, as well as a methodical approach to handling objections and closing deals.

Here are Marcel Stam’s key strategies.

1. Asking the Right Questions: Understand the prospect’s situation by asking questions about their past, present, and future. Key questions may include:

  • What was it like before?

  • Where are you at right now?

  • Where do you plan to be?

  • How do you plan to get there?

The goal of these questions is to extract clear information on the prospect’s goals (motive), obstacles (problem), and the emotional impact of not achieving their goals (pain).

2. Guiding the Prospect: Lead your prospect to self-realization by asking relevant questions. This will help the prospect realize on their own that they need your solution. The focus is on guiding them to understand the necessity of your offer.

3. Objection Handling: Prevent objections by addressing potential concerns proactively. When objections arise, remain calm and empathetic. Ask specific questions to uncover the real reasons behind objections. Use a looping technique where you address the objection and then return to the core questions about their goals and needs to reinforce the necessity of your solution.

4. Presenting the Solution: Tie each deliverable of your offer to the prospect’s specific motives, problems, and pain points. For example, if a prospect’s goal is to make $10,000 a month to support their family, emphasize how your solution will help them achieve this.

Highlight the emotional benefits of your solution, not just the logical ones. This involves reminding the prospect of their pain points and the positive changes your solution will bring.

5. Pitching with Confidence: When stating the price, do it confidently and then be silent. This allows the prospect to process the information without feeling pressured. Avoid showing nervousness or lack of confidence. Use strong, positive language (e.g., “investment” instead of “price”).

6. Building Rapport and Trust: Focus on genuinely understanding the prospect’s needs and circumstances. Engage in a conversation rather than a monologue. Ensure strong rapport and trust are maintained throughout the process, especially during the pitch.

7. Finding the Right Clients: This strategy is about finding the right business to work with as a high ticket closer. For Marcel Stam, you will not earn much in high-ticket closing if the product or business you’re selling for is bad in itself. You should research potential clients and ensure they have a good reputation, generate results, and have a consistent lead flow. When reaching out, provide valuable insights or solutions before asking for anything in return.

8. Persistence and Follow-Up: Keep track of businesses you’ve contacted and follow up regularly. Demonstrate your persistence and commitment by consistently following up and showing that you are willing to go the extra mile

Who Is ABC Academy For?

ABC Academy is for anyone who wants to enter the high-ticket sales industry, with or without experience. The course also provides digital marketing lessons, so it is good for anyone interested in this topic. However, if you want a course that is dedicated to either high-ticket sales or digital marketing, then ABC Academy is not for you.

For high ticket sales, you might need to find a mentor with years of experience in this industry. Marcel Stam just recently started high ticket remote closing, so he clearly doesn’t have a lot of experience in this field. The same goes for his digital marketing endeavors. You should also keep in mind that this is an MRR course. This means that it was most likely created by someone else.

What Do Students Say About ABC Academy?

Students of ABC Academy talk about their earnings and how they quit their jobs after a few months of joining the program. You can only find testimonials like these from Marcel Stam’s sales videos. There are currently no reviews or testimonials of ABC Academy from third-party sites like Trustpilot.

Here are some examples of these student testimonials.

It is unclear whether these earnings come from high-ticket sales or from reselling the ABC Academy as an MRR course. One of them did say “comms,” so it may stand for “commissions.”

The following testimonials may clarify things more.

Based on these testimonials, the earnings come from “building personal brand, posting content, and dialing in sales.” They didn’t give the breakdown of their earnings, so it is unclear how these specific income sources perform with ABC Academy’s system.

Is ABC Academy Legit?

Yes, ABC Academy is legit. If you buy the course, you will receive the course copy as promised. Despite having no online reviews, there are also no complaints about this course or of Marcel Stam himself.

Who is Marcel Stam?

Marcel Stam ABC Academy-cropped

Marcel Stam is a high-ticket closer, content creator, and owner of ABC Academy. Within a year, Marcel  quickly progressed from a construction job to earning $10,000 a month and eventually reaching $40,000 a month through high-ticket sales.

Back in 2022, Marcel was DJing, partying, and working a construction job. He had no direction, money, or purpose. After discovering high ticket sales and personal development, he stopped his old habits and completely changed his identity. Marcel emphasizes the importance of obsession, vision, and urgency in achieving success.

Marcel also started posting content on social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. He significantly grew his following and engagement in a short time. Marcel currently has 35K followers on TikTok, 5K on YouTube, and 14K on Instagram. He was living in Melbourne, Australia, but is now actively sharing his travels in several places around the world

Marcel Stam Claims

Marcel Stam claims that high-ticket sales can let you earn $10K-$30K a month. He said that you can learn this skill in only 1-2 months and this is all you need to earn 6 figures a year. For Marcel, high-ticket sales is the easiest path to earning $10K a month out of all the business models that he tried.

Market Saturation and Competition Debunk Marcel Stam's Claims

Based on the ZipRecruiter data, those earning more than $4K a month in high-ticket consist of only less than 1% of the total roles. However, these statistics may not include those high-ticket closer jobs offered in the B2C online coaching industry. So, the problem now lies in the quick market saturation of this space because of MRR courses like the ABC Academy.

ABC Academy teaches high-ticket sales and digital marketing. The goal here is to land high-ticket sales jobs and use the digital marketing lessons to “resell” the same course. Thus, not only MRR courses are producing aspiring high-ticket closers at an exponential rate, it is also producing resellers of the same exact course.

Marcel Stam is only one of the hundreds of TikTok and Instagram influencers selling courses with Master Resell Rights (MRR). In fact, Etsy is already full of these course listings, all priced at $497.

Why Do Salespeople Leave Traditional Sales For High Ticket Remote Closing?

Salespeople leave traditional sales for high-ticket remote closing because of:

  • Higher Earning Potential: High-ticket products often come with larger commission structures. This allows salespeople to earn significantly more per sale. For instance, according to a survey by Sales Hacker, high-ticket closers can earn commissions ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 per sale. This depends on the product and industry. Thus, success in high-ticket sales can lead to consistent, high-income opportunities.
  • Flexibility and Autonomy: High-ticket closing typically allows for remote work. It offers greater flexibility in work location and hours. Salespeople can often set their own schedules and work at their own pace. A report by FlexJobs found that 82% of remote workers experience lower stress levels. Around 77% report reported better health due to the flexibility of remote work. This leads to better work-life balance.
  • Challenging and Rewarding: High-ticket sales involve more complex sales processes that can be intellectually stimulating and rewarding. The complexity and higher stakes require continuous learning and skill development. The Sales Management Association revealed that 68% of high-ticket sales professionals feel motivated by the intellectual challenge of their work This contributes to personal and professional growth of a salesperson.
  • Entrepreneurial Opportunities: High-ticket closers can often build their own businesses. This can be either through personal branding or by creating their own high-ticket offers. For example, successful high-ticket closers like Dan Lok have transitioned into creating their own training programs and consulting services. Developing a personal brand in the high-ticket sales space can lead to further opportunities for consulting, coaching, and other high-income activities.

Is High Ticket Closing Legit?

Yes, high-ticket closing is legit. Businesses do require specialized personnel to facilitate sales closings for high-value products. The reasons can be that the product being sold is too technical, or the sales cycle is too long and complex. Examples of this are tech or medical device sales. It also includes products in the online education and mentorship space. Since the product is also more expensive than usual, buyers often need a more personalized “push” to make a decision.

What Are the Biggest Challenges for High Ticket Remote Closers?

The biggest challenges of high-ticket closers are:

  • Choosing the Right Clients: Work with reputable clients and quality products. Success in sales largely depends on this. A survey by Close.io found that 74% of top closers attribute their success to the product quality. Great products make closing deals easier.
  • Building Trust and Rapport Remotely: Without face-to-face meetings, trust is harder to build. Misunderstandings are more common too. A study by Gong.io showed that video calls increased deal closure chances by 41% over audio calls. Yet, nothing beats in-person meetings.
  • Financial Uncertainty: Income fluctuates weekly, causing financial stress. Market changes and shifts in demand can affect sales. Some roles offer hourly pay alongside commissions, easing this. However, high-ticket closers relying solely on commissions must save for tough months. The Bureau of Labor Statistics noted a 50% income fluctuation in commission-based roles monthly.
  • Dealing with Ghosting and Prolonged Decisions: Consistent follow-ups are key. It's crucial to track and manage these. Often, you'll face prospects who ghost or delay decisions. A study by InsideSales.com revealed that 50% of sales occur after the 5th follow-up. Surprisingly, 44% of salespeople give up after just one follow-up. High-ticket closing isn't just about closing calls with warm leads. It requires significant follow-up effort.

Why Local Lead Generation Is Better Than High Ticket Selling

Marcel Stam often says in his videos that high-ticket sales closing is “the way to escape the rat race.” Unlike 9-5 jobs, you’re not “trading time with money.” On the contrary, high-ticket sales is still a job that often requires huge time investments to consistently earn a fixed set of income. And the only direction to scale is by selling another high-ticket closer course. Reselling the MRR course can’t be a permanent source of income.

local lead generation

Unlike high-ticket sales, local lead generation is scalable and can also be nearly “passive.” This business model involves building a website for a specific service niche, and ranking it locally in search engine results. You can then rent your site to local businesses, so they can benefit from the leads it generates. The way to scale is to build more sites. Ranked websites typically don’t require constant maintenance, so your income source is nearly passive. Lastly, a single website can let you earn $500-$3K a month of fixed income. Local lead generation doesn’t have the same uncertainty as high-ticket sales.
