MODULE 5 - Obtaining Product Reviews the Right Way

Data collection is unspeakably helpful when it comes to finding out what techniques work and what doesn't.

In this lesson, Kevin dives into the details of how to increase the amount of product reviews you get by using an email follow-up service that costs under 10 dollars per month (super affordable). 

He provides a list of subject lines that he has both personally experienced success with as well as subjects that have been proven by other email marketers to incite a high percentage of open rates, which saves us time, as we do not have to do the research ourselves. 

Next, he names two basic keys to a good subject line:
  1. It incites curiosity in the buyer (get them thinking "what is this?")
  2. It also needs to be a bit clickbaity, having a unique sense of promise to it. 
Additionally, Kevin offers a suggestion in how you should layout your product follow-up campaign, structuring it in such a way that it encourages the buyer to "give back" in the form of a product review. 

The final note Kevin leaves us with is the commission: "be creative, and don't be afraid to try things. Simply use the follow up service's data and then adapt.

Video 2 - Amazon's ToS Explained Related to Discounts, Promotions and Reviews

In this video, Kevin walks through a portion of the terms of service (ToS) that pertain to and govern the relationship between giving away or severely discounting products in exchange for product reviews.

Module 5 - My Key Takeaways 

In this fifth module, Kevin David goes deep into showing a few different techniques for getting high quality verified product reviews in ways that follow the ToS of the Amazon Marketplace. 

I like how he emphasized the importance of data collection and organization (and his #1 recommendation that his friend built specifically for Amazon Sellers) in the first video, which is so key in businesses today, but goes against the popular "follow your feelings" mantra that most wannabe entrepreneurs allow to dictate their direction. 


Video Quality: 7.5/10

the sound quality is a bit more in and out, but overall is hearable. 


Content: 6/10  

Kevin includes high quality information, but his organization of his original content could stand a lot of improvement as his videos do not really build on each other. 



This fifth module is the shortest of them all with only three videos, but Kevin does reveal some key information inside these lessons.
