STEP 4: UPSELLING TO BIG ORDERS
Step 4 of Ecomm Clubhouse deals with INCREASING YOUR SALES. This module contains 5 videos, with a combined video length of 22 minutes. Additional resources include 5 PDF documents. 

VIDEO 1 HOW TO ADD TRUST ICONS

The first lesson deals with getting Trust Icons onto your store. When potential buyers are unsure whether to buy from you, a trust badge (as illustrated below), is a tactic used to make them feel more at ease about their purchase.
Sarah shows you which free app to use in the Shopify App Store, and how to get the trust badge images onto your product pages. People are less likely to think this is a scam when they see trust badges.

VIDEO 2: HOW TO ADD DISCOUNTED PRICING APP TO INCREASE AOV

Discounted prices are a tried and tested method of increasing your sales and Average Order Value.

The app that Sarah suggests only works if you have a product that is selling well. This is good advice as it costs $19.99 per month once you activate it.

VIDEO 3: HOW TO ADD SMAR7 TO UPSELL CUSTOMERS TO BIG ORDERS

Sarah teaches you about upselling in this tutorial. Upselling is where you offer complimentary products with the main purchase at checkout. For example, if someone wants to buy the cat spoons, then you can offer them a cat mug to go with that purchase.

Sarah suggests you use the SMAR7 Bundle app. It's a good app, but be warned that it costs $47 per month.

VIDEO 4: HOW TO ADD SPIN-A-SALE APP TO TRIGGER THE LAW OF RECIPROCITY

The Spin-A-Sale app is another app that uses sales psychology and the Law of Reciprocity to increase your conversions. This app will not break the bank at $10 per month.

VIDEO 5: HOW TO ADD AFTER-SALE COUPONS

This lesson shows you how to install an app that emails discount coupons to customers after they bought from your store. These coupons have a time limit to create urgency. 

Note: Sarah refers to the app as Conversio, but they have changed the app name to CM Commerce Email Marketing (Not sure why. Conversio sounded way better...).

Step 4 - My Key Takeaways 

Sarah offers some good suggestions for apps/tools used to increase your conversions. 


These apps are essential for creating a higher conversion rate. However, these apps will cost you just over $100 per month, so it is something to budget for when starting out.

OVERALL IMPRESSION OF STEP 4: UPSELLING TO BIG ORDERS

Don't get me wrong. Sarah offers solid suggestions for apps and tools to use. Sarah even suggests the same apps as most of the other "gurus". So I can't fault her there. 

However, "newer" apps suggestions or at least alternative options would have been nice.
