Before Fox Web School
Rob was from Ireland and has a degree in construction engineering. But when he graduated, there was a massive recession in Ireland. He explored job and career opportunities in water sports, particularly surfing. According to Rob, it was fun but he wasn’t able to make a stable income. So, he moved to Canada and worked for an oil company for 3 years. Rob said the money was good but it was a tough job and he was getting burned out all the time.

The Search for Lucrative Investments
In one of Rob’s videos, he explained that he wanted to start a business. He was looking for online business opportunities. However, he had limited funds and didn’t really want to take risks for business models that require huge upfront money like eCommerce, cryptocurrency or real estate properties.
Rob met some freelance web designers at Columbia, where he learned about freelance projects. Like most freelancers, he struggled to find good opportunities and often got low-priced projects. He then realized that he was not using the right strategies to get valuable clients and profitable projects.
