5 Complaints about this Affiliate Marketing Course
1. Aaron uses a whiteboard to teach you
Throughout the course, you'll see that Aaron teaches you while standing in front of a whiteboard. There are barely any training videos where he shows you what to do from his computer like you'll see in most other online courses. This doesn't instill any confidence that Aaron is teaching you actionable steps you can implement in your business.
2. Course doesn't have updated strategies
As you go through the course, you'll see that they haven't updated the course. There aren't any current strategies like leveraging social media platforms like TikTok, SnapChat, Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook to get more sales. All you see is Aaron constantly talking in front of a whiteboard talking about mindset and some affiliate marketing strategies.
3. Lots of upsells
Aaron also has a lot of upsells in his course. He uses up whole videos to explain why you should buy a certain book or journal book. Under each of those videos, he has an Amazon affiliate link for you to purchase the book. Of course, he makes a commission anytime someone uses the link to purchase the book.
4. Excessive mindset content
Aaron talks way too much about mindset. Of course, it's important to have the right mindset when starting an online business, but it feels like overkill. This course would be better received if he focused more on teaching actionable affiliate marketing strategies.
5. Paypal only affiliate commission payout
You can sign up as an affiliate for Aaron's course, but they only pay your affiliate commissions out through PayPal if you make any money. There is no other option.
Who is Aaron Chen?
Aaron is a successful affiliate entrepreneur who is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Just like many people, he worked a 9-5 job in the corporate world and wasn't happy. From 2009 to 2016, he invested almost $100K in online courses to find his own digital marketing niche and went broke.
Aaron bought courses that taught MLM, dropshipping and other online businesses. In 2016, his mentor, Vik Strizheus, taught him a strategy called Indirect Selling. It's all about building trust with your audience by educating them on what you're selling before you actually sell your products.
After reaching 6-figures with this technique, Aaron doubled down on this style of marketing and has made over $717K in affiliate marketing.
His success led him to teaching others how to become financially free. In 2019, he created the Invincible Marketing course. He also puts out content every week on his Aaron Chen YouTube channel where he has over 24.4K subscribers.
Aaron also has a podcast called The Freedom Audio Show With Aaron Chen where in each episode, he shares one idea his listeners can use to make thousands of dollars in their affiliate business and life.

Is affiliate marketing profitable in 2023?
Affiliate marketing is profitable in 2023. According to Influencer Marketing Hub, 80% of brands have affiliate programs. But there is a lot of work that needs to be done before you see any kind of profit. To be profitable, you must understand you need to rank globally for search terms relevant to the product or service you're selling, so you've got to generate lots of traffic. Also, you're competing with thousands of affiliate marketers and advertisers worldwide, which makes it more difficult to rank.
Creating a blog and a YouTube channel can help you generate more traffic, but those tasks are time-consuming and more of a long-term play. Running Facebook ads or creating a Google ad, if properly optimized, can generate traffic fast, but it's getting more expensive to do so as the years pass. Even if you create social media profiles as part of your marketing campaigns, it's going to take a lot of time and money to generate traffic.
Affiliate marketing is one of the many online businesses that will not pay you predictable commissions. If you want to make affiliate marketing work, you must be patient and have some money for when you need to split test ads. If you stick with it, you can be profitable.
Many people are choosing local lead generation over affiliate marketing. Here's a comparison of the two business models.
Why Local Lead Generation is better than affiliate marketing
Local lead generation offers more benefits than affiliate marketing. When generating leads locally, your profit margins can be 75+% or more and you are in more control of your business. You choose who you're going to work with, how much you get paid, how often you get paid, and no one can fire you. There are many potential customers in every market so there is no shortage of business owners to work with.
You can decide to stop working with a business owner if they aren't providing exceptional service. If that were the case, you simply forward your leads to a new company. No one can take your digital real estate away.
Once you have your sites ranked, they continue generating leads which means you keep getting paid. Of all the online business models, local lead generation is the most passive.
Local lead generation can pay you thousands of dollars every month on auto pilot. In 2014, I began building digital properties like this limousine rental site.
Today, I've got over 50 sites that are ranked paying me every month because they generate leads for local businesses.
In the coaching program, there are over 7000 students who have joined to learn these valuable skills that help local small businesses. Many local business owners don't know how to generate their own leads for themselves. That's where we come in and change their lives and our own.
