Before analyzing this course, I'd never heard of James Kuck.
A quick research on Google really doesn't show that much.
And yet, since I work in the field of digital real estate, I wanted to check him out.
He has a new DRE (Digital Real Estate) course out.
So I wanted to see what it was all about.
So just who exactly is James Kuck?
He seems to be most present on YT than anywhere else.
And yet he only has just over 11k followers.
He brands himself as a mindset leader, so I was intrigued.
How did he learn his digital real estate skills?
What experience does he have in this particular niche?
Luckily for you guys, I checked the course out, so you can get a full review.
After having seen this course publicized on Google, Facebook and other sites, I thought it would be only fair to my readers for me to check it out and report.
Of course, I don't have an affiliate link to James' course.
If you end up buying it, I will not be making a dime.
So in the following review, I'm going to review it as impartially as possible.
And I'll be answering the questions that you really want to know the answer to.
No messing around.
But before I start this review, a bit about me..
I've been working in this niche for more than 7 years, so you got to know you can trust my judgment.
Until 2014, like many of the people I review, I was working in a 9 to 5 job.
Not only was it killing me, but it didn't give me any time to pursue my bigger goals.
That was until I discovered a method to rank sites organically, generating free leads for my clients.
That website you see above, for the tree care company, I created that site in 2015, and since then I haven't had to touch or update it:
It has gained me a passive income of $2000 a month.
That's more than $125,000 for one site, in 6 years.
That's the magic of the Lead Generation business.
It's by far the best model to generate passive income. If you want to know more, just hop over here!
But enough about me: time for review of Digital Real Estate Secrets Revealed!
Digital Real Estate Secrets Revealed
The course is aimed at people of all ages and all levels of experience.
You are supposed to be ok even if you don't have any prior knowledge.
You're also able to call a mentor and discuss your doubts and questions.
The course offers James' previous courses for free.
Not that they have much in common with the rank and rent system, but hey.
These are some of the perks of the course:
DRE Secrets Revealed Perks
Key Points & Takeaways of the Course
1 - Pick a Niche
What were you expecting from the first point.
It all starts from picking a niche that can work.
Choosing the right one can make or break your DRE business.
Some may be over-saturated, while some may be just dead.
There must be method in what you propose to do.
And James is actually pretty good at making things clear.
Finding the right niche isn't something easy.
James says that ideally it's something you should know something about.
Or at least be passionate about what you're going to be dealing with.
It's going to help when building the website you want to rank.
It'll make it easier to write the content for it.
And ultimately you're going to benefit from that.
2 - Pick the Right City Location
The second step is just as important as picking the right niche.
And that is picking the right location.
If you're just getting started, choosing the whole of NYC is going to be tough.
There are a lot of people trying to rank for the same services.
In the same city.
With the same kind of ads.
It's just not worth it.
For your first website to rank, James recommends two things:
- Don't choose a highly competitive niche.
- Don't choose a highly competitive location.
Sounds obvious but apparently it's mistakes still being made.
Not only is the process of ranking the site going to take longer.
James also says that it's going to be more expensive to do so.
3 - Select the Correct Domain Name
Here we're diving into more technical grounds.
The choice of your domain name is pretty crucial.
You want it to stand out.
But you also want it to organically help you rank the website.
How to do that?
The best domain name should be a combination of:
- The niche chosen.
- The location chosen.
So if you have a website ranking for plumbers in Long Island, you could go for:
plumberslongisland.com, or
longislandplumbing.com, or
any name that contains the two vital informations which the client needs.
After all, when someone in Long Island will look for a plumber, that is what he will search for.
4 - Conversion Optimized Web Design
When it comes to the actual creation of the site, things are not just random.
You want something that will convert once clients land on it.
There are different things you can do to make things happen.
Themes, layouts & call to actions must be tested out.
James has done this over years of doing this line of work.
So you will find what he thinks is the best design for your site.
Certain items, such as the phone number or the booking form will be placed in particular positions because of increased conversion.
All of this is explained in detail in the course.
It really is a case of copying the original blueprint.
All you have to do after that is just trust that James is right.
And that he has done all the work and testing he says he has.
5 - Tracking
Once the site is up, you want to note everything that comes and goes from it.
That's where tracking comes in.
You want to be testing the performance of your website.
Make sure it's converting well, or, if not, find where the bottleneck is.
Then you can solve any issue that might arise.
But only if you keep a careful eye on things and track EVERYTHING.
James is pretty adamant that this is a really important step.
You need to know who's calling, when, and record the conversation.
Secondly, you should also be using Google analytics to track traffic on your site.
You want to know everything your potential client does once on your site.
You cannot dismiss this part of your biz, because it is fundamental.
Lose track of what people on your site are doing and you're leaving dollars on the table.
James is pretty good at explaining how to use tools such as Google Analytics.
6 - Add Specifics to On-Page SEO
You are now ready to add all your specifics to On-Page SEO.
On-page SEO (also known as “on-site SEO”) is the practice of optimizing web page content for search engines and users.
Common on-page SEO practices include optimizing title tags, content, internal links and URLs.
Anything you can do ON your website to make it rank better counts as OP SEO.
James seems to be pretty on top of things when it comes to this subject.
This is where you take care of things like:
- Image optimization.
- Keyword optimization.
- Content quality improvement.
- Tags and alt-text.
Anything that might make Google's life easier to rank your site that you can improve on site, is of critical importance.
For example, having specific keywords on your site improves its ranking tremendously.
If a possible client types exactly what you have put down in your keyword optimization phase, your site will pop up more consistently.
And carry on its growth to page 1 of Google.
7 - Build Off-Page SEO
The same attention given to on-page SEO must be given to off-page.
Probably even more work must be conducted here.
Off-page SEO covers all SEO tactics that take place outside of your own website.
Link building is often considered to be the main off-page tactic.
But tactics such as brand building, citation building, content marketing, social media, and more all play an important part in a comprehensive SEO strategy.
Strangely, James seems to ignore the third kind of SEO, technical SEO.
Although I have to say that James here focuses on one main thing.
Backlinks.
And it's fair enough, since they are so important for ranking purposes.
But I feel he neglects all the other perks of off page SEO.
James has a particular formula and system that will work for you.
It'll help you get the backlinks much easier and it's a perk of joining his course.
Another thing James focuses on is competitor analysis.
Being one step ahead of the competition is crucial.
8 - Find Potential Clients
It's all fine and cool, but once you rank, you wanna rent.
And James has a cool way to go about this.
He basically sees who is already paying for leads.
You can do this in various ways that are explained in the course.
But this is a fundamental step.
You want to make sure you are not cold outreaching.
Once you start noticing potential clients in your area who:
- are running Google ads to get more clients.
- are in your website's niche.
You know that these people will be open to the idea.
They will know that the internet can provide leads, and will consider your site.
Once you've gotten their attention, it's time to head to section 9 of James' course.
9 - Work Out a Deal
What you want to do when you find a client that is vaguely interested:
Make sure to give him some free leads, to show your site is the bomb.
You're recording calls coming to your site, so you will be tracking everything.
After an amount of leads that you decide upon, it's time to get into action.
Contact the client and make sure you work out a deal.
Make it real clear that the website is your piece of digital real estate.
James provides his students with a script to follow step by step.
If you do that, you really have nothing to worry about.
The idea is basically to lock the client into one of two kinds of deals:
- Pay per lead.
- Monthly retainer.
With a pay for lead things could be more lucrative.
But it also means tracking every single call and move.
With a monthly retainer you just sit back and collect every month.
You know, that if you are charging, say $750 a month,
as long as your client is making $755 from your leads, he'll keep on paying.
And if you're on page one of Google, it's going to be more than that.
10 - Rinse & Repeat
This is where the system really shines.
Once you have a client, he will be grateful for what you send his way.
And if he isn't, just move on to the competition and strike another deal.
You own the prized property on page one.
You are getting the leads.
It's like having a hotel in Park Place in Monopoly.
You're basically just collecting every month.
The Verdict, the Good & the Bad
The course in itself is not bad at all.
You can tell James has been doing this for a while.
But you get the feeling that it's not the only thing that he does.
If you check his YouTube channel, you'll see there is a variety of topics he covers.
Rank & Rent, for sure, but also YT Channel Building, eCommerce etc. etc.
He comes off as a jack of all trades.
As far as the course goes, it's not as complete as my local lead generation course, but it's a good introduction to organic ranking.
I wouldn't say James Kuck is a scammer, far from it.
But he doesn't look as experienced as others in the niche.
The course goes for $2997 and you have lifetime access to it with all the perks listed above.
PROS:
CONS:
If you want to start a rank & rent site business, James' course could be the right one for you.
However, these days, with all the courses you can find around the web, it's hard to know what to trust in and invest in.
My Local Lead Generation Course, where you rank your own website, is a far superior model to monetize your skills.
Let me explain, keep reading...
Why I Wouldn't Recommend Anything Else... My Lead Generation Course Has Proven to be a Much Better Biz Model, Here's Why...
I run a $50K per month lead generation business but all of my leads are generating through free traffic or SEO.
Through the years we've perfected our methods and developed software accessible only to our students that makes life much much easier.
From sitebuilding, to backlinking groups, to in-house writers and site-creators, we've been perfecting our machine for the past 7 years, and 6500 customers can attest to it.
So it's pretty much passive income, I don’t have to worry about anything, since it's all worked upon like clock-work at the beginning, and then proceeds on autopilot.
The website I create ranks on the first page of Google, in the so-called map pack, and the leads just start pouring in.
So, you see, it's passive income, I don’t have to worry about anything.
Once my site ranks it generally keeps its rank with very little to no maintenance.
Don’t get me wrong you can still make it with other courses out there, but it's a hard route very challenging to do so, believe me.
We've been working in this line for the past 7 years and I make 50k a month because of all the special features in my course.
And we're constantly testing and tweaking to make the experience better for our clients.
This is why I still recommend people look into doing my lead generation with free traffic course.
Conclusion
James Kuck's DRE Shortcuts Opportunities course is well executed, everything is there to learn how to create your sites and put them out for local businesses.
Let me tell you, when you start off though, you want to be followed by people who have been in it for years.
People who live, breathe, eat lead generation everyday.
Once you know how to generate leads with free traffic, you can go into any niche and create an incredible level of results for clients.
That’s how 90% of my multiple 6 figure income is generated.
And I should add that it's passive income: see free traffic never stops.
In 2021, even during Covid-19, I continue to build more lead gen sites and I write at least 1 blog post a day for this site.
I’ve come to realize that these are the high-income producing activities because it directly increases my free traffic every month.
