Matt Bennett Review: Can You Become a Super Affiliate With Paid Ads?
Matt Bennett is an LA-based affiliate marketer of nearly two decades that focuses on paid media strategies like Pinterest Ads. He is the founder of Commission Crew, a Skool-based community focused on affiliate marketing education. Matthew Bennett claims to have generated over $1.2 million in affiliate revenue in 2024.
Matt Bennett reviews don’t exist. However, there are some articles and a Reddit thread reviewing his Commission Crew course with a generally positive outlook.
Matt Bennett says his Commission Crew Skool community “isn’t just another affiliate group with recycled advice from 2017”. But in my experience as an affiliate marketer, there’s not much more to promoting affiliate products. You’re still trying to attract buyers, like trying to find a new way to fish in a pond that’s been fished out. No matter what technique you use, you won’t catch anything or only a few small fish here and there. Matt’s strategies also focus on social media ads, and I don’t know about you, but I instantly scroll away when I see an ad. It’s like paying hundreds for a billboard in the middle of the desert. You’re spending all that money, but no one’s around to see it. Worst, affiliate marketing relies on someone else’s product. Imagine putting so much effort into helping a “friend”, only for them to abandon you in the blink of an eye. You’ll be like Steve Wozniak, who helped Steve Jobs build Apple from the ground up. Wozniak was the technical genius, pouring countless hours into development. But as Apple grew and became more profitable, Jobs focused on business and branding, leaving Wozniak on the sidelines.
In the following article, I discuss Matthew Bennett and his affiliate marketing strategies like he teaches in Commission Crew.

Can you become a super affiliate with paid ads?
Yes, you can become a super affiliate with paid ads. A super affiliate is an affiliate marketer that generates over $1 million annually. Matt Bennett claims you can become a super affiliate by joining his Commission Crew program and stacking multiple affiliate ad campaigns to achieve a super affiliate income. In fact, Matt even shows revenue screenshots of him earning over $1.2 million with paid ads in 2024.
Earning super affiliate revenue means earning approximately $90K/month. That’s $3,000/day. Matthew mentions stacking multiple $200/day campaigns to reach super affiliate status, which equates to at least 15 unique campaigns to reach $3K.
Although becoming a super affiliate with paid ads is possible, it’s not as common as it was a decade ago. Paid advertising cost per click (CPC) is much higher these days while affiliate commissions are much slimmer. For example, Google Ads CPCs increase by approximately 2.33% per year on average, according to Search Engine Land. Furthermore, there is much more regulation and oversight in the affiliate marketing space that prevent affiliates from getting away with tactics that made millionaires a few years back. For instance, the FTC Enforcement Guides require affiliates to disclose their relationship with the product and prevent misleading claims.

Matthew Bennett began affiliate marketing around 2009-2010. Matt made his first $10,000 commission check at age 21 while living in a garage with less than $1,200 to his name. During college, he pioneered using Facebook pages to aggregate millions of moms into fan pages. He sent these audiences multiple daily status updates containing his affiliate offers, claiming to have generated a consistent $100,000/month for several years.
Matt has promoted various products across multiple verticals. He sold health insurance, auto insurance, online school registrations, diet pills, credit reports, and reverse phone lookups. He even claims to have sold “millions of dollars worth of flashlights” over a 5-month period using native advertising.

Is Affiliate Marketing or Local Lead Generation Better for Beginners?
Local lead generation is better than affiliate marketing for beginners because it offers:
- Less competition
- Long-term value
- More predictable income
Local lead generation competes for traffic in local markets, while affiliate marketing operates on a national or global scale. Local lead gen is like opening a new grocery store in a small town (building a website for a specific location). There’s not much competition, so it’s easy to stand out (ranking the website high on Google). You’re also offering something essential, like food, so people will come to your store (renting the website to local businesses that need leads to survive). Now, what if you try selling T-shirts all over the country through an online store? It’s hard to get noticed, as you’ll be competing with big brands like ASOS and Shein. Also, you’re selling something that people might like, not something they need.
In my experience with affiliate marketing, it’s constant work. I was like Wile E. Coyote in the Looney Tunes cartoons - always running, trying different schemes to catch the Road Runner, but never getting any closer to success. Despite all the effort, I was just spinning my wheels, going nowhere. One month I was making $1,000, the next only $200. Since I stopped promoting my affiliate products in 2019, I don’t earn anything from them anymore, so it’s not long-term income either. Contrast that to my experience with local lead generation, and I’m like The Little Engine That Could. After the initial climb, the engine just keeps chugging along, delivering results. The initial work I put in (building, ranking, and renting out) paid off, and I don’t have to keep running in circles. For example, I built my website, Orange County Granite Quartz Marble Countertops, 2644 Dupont Drive, Irvine, CA 92612, 949-326-0023 ocgranitemarble.com in 2020. It secures an average of 2 jobs per month, totaling $50,000 in revenue. Since I get a 10% commission from that, I generate $5,000 per month to this day without lifting a finger.
If you want to learn how to build a lasting online business with local lead generation, check out my course. Or, you can get started right away working with my roofing client. You just build and rank roofing websites for him, and he’ll give you a 1-5% commission once it’s rented out.
