Jake Burden Seller Circle Review: Is It Really Worth It? + A Passive Alternative
Updated On

Seller Circle is an Amazon FBA course that helps new sellers start their business in retail arbitrage, online arbitrage, and wholesale. Jake Burden’s team of experts provides guidance and resources to navigate the Amazon marketplace. They offer valuable insights and tools to kick-start the journey toward a successful Amazon FBA business.
Seller Circle can be worth it, especially if you’re ready to dedicate yourself to the business. After all, Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is the easiest way to sell on the platform. Amazon handles around 24% to 40% of your workload, including inventory, shipping, and returns.
As someone who used to run an Amazon FBA business, my opinion on Seller Circle is that it’s like trying to hail a cab in Times Square right after the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop. There are ten thousand hands up for the same thirty taxis. Telling people to “just flag one down” pretends the gridlock isn’t real. The course ignores how crowded Amazon is. So even if you have profitable products and great marketing strategies, that doesn’t guarantee success. You will be competing against Amazon Basics (which are always the top products that appear) and millions of other Amazon merchants.
In this Seller Circle review, I give you its pros and cons, pricing, what’s included, and if it’s worth it. I also go a bit into the Amazon FBA business model. Then, I talk about a more secure business model, called local lead generation. I’ll tell you why I switched from Amazon FBA to local lead generation.
What Are Seller Circle Pros and Cons?

| They have a team for ungating some products | User's manual of retail and online arbitrage is in text format |
| 24/7 chat support to answer all inquiries | More expensive than other course |
| Save more of your time because they have a team for generating product leads |
| Price | Monthly: £49.99 For three months: £129.99 (save £19.98)
|
|---|---|
| Refund Policy | They do not offer any refunds/returns because of the service being digital-based. |

I want to share my experience with the Seller Circle Wholesale Mentorship to give you a heads-up.
Honestly, I didn’t find it worth the money. You can find the same content for free on YouTube, especially the sourcing tips. The weekly sessions were hit or miss, and getting support was slow—it often took more than a day to get a reply.
The ‘Profit Guarantee’ is also misleading. The fine print makes it nearly impossible to get a refund.
On the bright side, the resources do help you set up and sell on Amazon, but overall, I was pretty disappointed. Think carefully before you join.

Who Is Jake Burden?

Jake Burden is the founder of Seller Circle. He’s a 21-year-old Amazon FBA expert who’s making over $1,000,000 per year. With just almost three years in the business, Jake has reached seven figures on Amazon, a feat that many would consider remarkable. Originally from Birmingham, Jake recently moved to Manchester to expand his business further.
Starting out, Jake struggled to find his footing in the Amazon marketplace. However, through trial and error, he eventually found success in wholesale. Jake carefully studied the market and invested $5,000 in his first product: cake boxes. By finding the cheapest distributor and analyzing the Amazon marketplace’s demand, supply, and pricing, Jake earned a whopping $79,000 with just a 40% margin.
What Is Amazon FBA?
Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) is a logistics and fulfillment service where third-party sellers store their products in Amazon’s warehouses. Amazon then handles packing, shipping, returns, and customer service when those products sell. According to The State of the Amazon Seller 2023, 86% use this fulfillment method in their Amazon business. Here’s how the business model works:
- Buy cheap from wholesalers or look for different retail stores for Amazon arbitrage.
- Prepare to ship your stock to Amazon to be stored in their fulfillment centers.
- Consumers will order through Amazon, and they handle the payment process, from customer transactions to your payouts.
- Amazon does the rest, including picking, packing, and shipping your products to customers.
What Are Amazon FBA Pros and Cons?

Amazon FBA charges fees for its fulfillment services, including storage, picking, packing, and shipping, which can eat into profit margins. |
| Prime Eligibility: Amazon FBA products are eligible for Prime, Free two-day shipping, free shipping and more, also can increase customer trust, loyalty, and purchase likelihood. | Loss of Control: Amazon FBA requires sellers to entrust their inventory and customer service to Amazon, which can cause a loss of control over the fulfillment process and customer experience. |

Final Verdict: Is Seller Circle Worth It?
Seller Circle is worth it if you are starting out in the Amazon FBA business with little to no knowledge. This program teaches you how to source products, run FBA listings, and scale your store. It also comes with done-for-you services that lessen your workload.
However, before signing up, you need to consider your business model and specific needs as an entrepreneur. You must be ready to work hard to earn big with Amazon. It requires discipline, consistency, and willingness to manage inventory, suppliers, listings, marketing, and feedback. If you’re looking for passive income, then the business model (and the Seller Circle) is not for you.
I quit my Amazon FBA business because it was too unpredictable. Every time Amazon’s algorithm changed or a cheaper competitor showed up, sales vanished overnight. Fees keep rising, ad costs eat into margins, and refunds or returns can wipe out your profits. Plus, you’re constantly reinvesting cash flow into restocking inventory, which makes it hard to build something passive or predictable.
I eventually moved away from Amazon FBA and started building local lead generation websites instead. With local lead gen, I found the predictable and passive income I was looking for. I highly recommend this business model if you’re like me.
Local Lead Generation vs Amazon FBA: Which Is Better?

Local lead generation is better than Amazon FBA because you own the traffic, control the platform, and keep more of the profits.
With Amazon FBA, you’re essentially building your business on someone else’s land. In my opinion, it’s like opening a store inside Walmart. Yes, there’s foot traffic, but you’re playing by their rules. Amazon decides where you rank, how much you pay in fees, and whether you even stay on the shelf. One algorithm update, supplier issue, or wave of new sellers, and your revenue tanks.
In contrast, local lead generation is like owning a billboard on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. Then, you rent that attention to business owners. With this business model, you build simple websites, rank them on Google, and route the leads to real businesses. Since you’re bringing quality leads, business owners are willing to pay you 5-10% commissions each month. Also, since your websites are ranking, it brings in traffic without you having to touch the sites. There are no fulfillment headaches, no refunds, and no dependency on Amazon’s policies or storage limits.
With Amazon FBA, you’re stuck in a cycle of reinvesting profits into more inventory, competing with copycats, and chasing slim margins. With local lead gen, your costs are low (only $500 to build a site and $30 to maintain each month), the assets are yours, and the income is often passive once the sites rank.
With local lead generation, you’re not just another seller fighting for page 1 on Amazon, but someone who owns digital real estate that brings in leads like clockwork. So if you want real control over your income and the ability to build something sustainable, local lead generation wins every time.
Local Lead Generation Is My #1 Passive Business

Local lead generation is my #1 passive business because you can leave it alone once it’s all set up. For example, one of my websites, El Monte Elite Concrete Solutions, 10640 Lower Azusa Road, El Monte, CA 91731, 626-606-2133, elmonteeliteconcrete.com, sells 6 quality leads on average. My client, a concrete company in El Monte, earns around $35,000 from these leads. My asking price is a 10% commission from their total monthly earnings, so I make $3,500. And it only took a few hours to build and rank this site. Now, with over 50+ websites, I earn a monthly total of $52,000.
If you’re looking for a business with passive income, I highly recommend local lead generation. If you’re interested, you can check out my local lead gen course. It teaches you how to start and run this type of business model. Or, you can also work for my roofing client by building and ranking websites for a 1% to 5% commission.
