In March 2024, I booked a hotel stay through Surge 365 and paid $312.66 for a three-night stay. The receipt mentioned a charge for one night if I canceled, but it didn’t say anything about the company canceling. Surge 365 canceled my reservation, not me. Whenever I tried to talk to them about it, they hung up. Each time I called back, they did the same thing. Nothing on the receipt or from their representative mentioned keeping all of my money if they canceled. I believe I should get a full refund since they canceled the booking.

What Do People Say About Surge365?

People online give positive and negative feedback about Surge365. Content creator Lori says Surge365 is a legit direct sales company. It offers travel rewards and benefits. Members get travel training, discounts, and free college enrollment for $50 a month. She argues that Surge365 is not a scam or pyramid scheme, despite rumors. She also added that such misconceptions often come from those unfamiliar with network marketing or who have failed in business.

However, the main challenge for newcomers is generating leads. Also, relying too much on friends and family often falls short.

However, some online users claim Surge365 resembles a pyramid scheme. One Better Business Bureau review shows disappointment. It notes participants can recruit others for $79 each. Yet, most fail to sign up 7 people to earn $500. This means Surge365 makes a profit while many earn nothing. The monthly fee is $19.95, and all go to the company while recruiters get nothing.

Moreover, the leadership faces accusations of being dishonest. They seem more focused on self-promotion than helping the sales team. New recruits often get misled. They are asked to approach friends and family for money for travel services that are not fully usable.

This situation warns potential participants to be cautious about Surge365. The leadership's tactics appear exploitative and untrustworthy. This experience shows that only a few make a profit. Many individuals face hidden costs and misleading recruitment practices.

Christopher Cokley is the CEO of Surge365. He's famous for his motivational talks and training, focusing on personal growth, business expansion, and leadership. With a solid background in sales and marketing, he's been part of several MLM companies. At Surge365, he mentors and coaches members to succeed in their businesses.

Surge365’s Claims

Surge365 promises to help people build wealth, travel, and make a difference. It offers a simple way to earn money, travel, and positively impact communities, all through collaboration. In addition, the company aims for financial growth by providing income opportunities. It emphasizes travel, encouraging people to explore and enjoy life.

Surge365 combines financial success, travel, and community impact. This approach creates a holistic lifestyle for its members. It appeals to those seeking more than a job, aiming for a fulfilling, purposeful life.

5 Reasons Why Surge365’s Claims are Difficult To Achieve

  • High Sales Targets: Surge365 offers the chance for big earnings. However, its sales targets are often too high. As a result, most participants struggle to recruit enough people or sell enough memberships to meet these targets.
  • Saturated Market: The travel industry is crowded with many companies offering similar deals and packages. Standing out in this saturated market is tough, making it hard for Surge365 representatives to attract and retain customers.
  • Recruitment Dependence: Surge365's success depends on recruiting new members, not just selling travel packages. This multi-level marketing model limits earnings for those who don't keep recruiting.
  • High Membership Costs: Surge365's joining costs are high, both initially and ongoing. This can scare off potential recruits. Also, it is tough for current members to expand their teams and earnings.
  • Retention Issues: Keeping recruits and customers engaged is tough. Many leave when they don't see quick results. This creates a constant need for new recruits and customers to maintain income.

Surge365 and similar MLM claims are tough for new entrepreneurs to achieve. A YouTube video from How Money Works says these MLMs are often like pyramid schemes but worse. Pyramid schemes mainly profit from recruitment fees. In contrast, MLMs sell pricey products and rely on recruits to keep buying them. Participants usually recoup only 30% of their investment. That's far less than the 90% seen in pyramid schemes.

Even top earners in MLMs face financial struggles. They must keep buying products and appear successful to attract recruits. Thus, it leads to debt. MLMs also exploit social connections, targeting community groups for recruitment. This often isolates members from unsupportive friends and family.

Moreover, large MLMs wield significant political and social power. They use their resources to influence political decisions and support controversial projects. This shows their negative impact goes beyond individual financial loss.

Is a Travel Agency the Best Way to Make Money Online From Anywhere?

Yes, a travel agency is one of the best ways to make money online. Consumers now book their own travel, forcing agencies to show clear value to compete.

The travel sector is thriving. Statista forecasts a 3.99% annual growth by 2024. Meanwhile, Spherical Insights predicts a 14.8% growth in the online travel market. This surge is driven by a growing preference for online travel solutions. It's a promising opportunity for entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, starting a travel agency taps into the high demand for travel planning. The internet's convenience makes online bookings popular. Agencies like Expedia and Booking.com showcase the profitability of online travel services. By offering tailored packages, special deals, and top-notch service, agencies can attract and keep customers.

Yet, success demands hard work and careful planning. The market is competitive, with established players leading. That's why a unique selling point is a must. There are instances where global events affect profitability. These include economic shifts and global crises.

Miss Fate, a content creator, offers a guide to starting a home-based travel agency with minimal investment. She highlights marketing’s importance, especially through websites and social media platforms like Facebook. Building good client relationships is key for repeat business and referrals. Offering both domestic and international trips can widen the market and attract more customers.

Top 3 Challenges of Travel Agencies

  • Platforms like Expedia, Booking.com, and Airbnb offer extensive options, often with competitive pricing, making it difficult for traditional travel agencies to compete.
  • Most travelers prefer to book directly through airline, hotel, and tour operator websites, bypassing travel agencies entirely.
  • Many travelers now prefer to plan and book their own trips, leveraging review sites, travel blogs, and social media.

Why Start a Local Lead Generation Business in 2024

Starting a local lead generation business in 2024 offers more flexibility and higher earnings than a travel agency. Travel agencies struggle to stand out in a crowded market. This is due to consumers now book their own travel, forcing agencies to show clear value to compete.

According to TravelPerk, travelers mainly use OTAs (80%), search engines (61%), social media (58%), airline websites (54%), and meta-travel sites (51%). This data shows that travelers are tech-savvy and prefer these tools over traditional bookings.

It is recommended that travel agencies have something unique to offer. They must provide better offerings than basic bookings. Personalized services or unique experiences are key to attracting customers. Without this, staying relevant is tough.

Local lead generation businesses have a simpler path to revenue. This model allows direct control over your income by selling leads to businesses. It's easy to scale by adding more sites. Earnings become more predictable since you generate leads. Competition is lower than in travel agencies. Once your content ranks, it attracts leads with little effort.
