Chris Reader Velocity Profits Review: AI YouTube Ads for Affiliate Marketing + A Business Alternative
Updated On

Velocity Profits delivers a good, step-by-step system for running AI-assisted YouTube ads in affiliate marketing. It has good testimonials. However, it's only good if you have money to spare and know how to run ads. The course itself costs $2,497. You also need a minimum of $1,000 - $15,000 per month for ad spend and AI tools fees. Successful ad campaigns require much more than scripts and templates. You need to understand ad psychology, bidding, and Google’s algorithm. On top of that, affiliate marketing relies on someone else's product. You have no control. Ultimately, Velocity Profits is legit. Some students do succeed. But, I don't recommend it, especially for beginners.

Velocity Profits is Chris Reader’s course that teaches you how to use AI YouTube ads to market affiliate offers. You’ll learn about affiliate products Chris uses himself, building 1-page websites, and launching your campaigns. Then, you’ll use AI software, like VidBot and Singularity Writer, to quickly create scripts and videos for the products.
Velocity Profits is the latest rebrand of Profit Singularity. It’s the same core course. Chris has added a new hook, though. This latest version teaches you to market low-priced offers. And, you’ll learn how to optimize ads for quality, foreign (non-U.S.) traffic. This can help keep ad spend low.
Velocity Profits reviews are mostly positive. It has a 4.4-star rating on Trustpilot from 101 reviews. Known affiliate marketers like Joshua Elder also took the course and highly recommend it. However, people on Reddit and YouTube were not happy. One Redditor asked for a refund because they found too many red flags, including the lack of details on the video lessons.
In my opinion, Velocity Profits is like financing a blockbuster movie like Transformers: The Last Knight. You can throw money into special effects, explosions, and star power. But if the storyline isn’t resonating with the audience, you won’t make a profit. Similarly, you can spend thousands on AI tools and ads. But if your ad campaigns don’t resonate with the consumer, you won’t make money. As someone who used to do affiliate marketing and paid ads, I’ve learned that affiliate products give you very little control. Paid ads require constant spending. One offer change, ad-account issue, or rising CPC can wipe out profit overnight. Plus, the same offers get pushed by countless affiliates using the same ad playbooks.
In this Velocity Profits review, I cover how they pair YouTube ads and AI to push affiliate offers. I uncover what you get with the course, from live calls to VidBot access. I share what real students say on Reddit and Trustpilot. At the end, I share the business model I switched to after affiliate marketing and paid ads. It’s called local lead generation.

How Does Velocity Profits Use Affiliate Marketing, YouTube Ads, and AI?
Velocity Profits uses affiliate marketing, YouTube ads, and AI to run a paid-traffic funnel. It works like this:
- You pick affiliate products that are likely to convert.
- You build a high-converting splash page (a one-page site designed to pre-sell the offer).
- You create YouTube ad variations faster using AI (scripts, hooks, new angles).
- You launch the ads in Google Ads and set up tracking to measure sales and optimize performance.
- You test, optimize, and scale what works while cutting what doesn’t.
- You earn commissions when someone buys through your affiliate link.
What Do You Get With Velocity Profits?
- Step-by-step video lessons: Learn the full affiliate + YouTube ads method, focusing on AI and cheaper non-US traffic.

- Landing Page Creator: Generates landing page copy and high-impact images.
- ClickBank Detective (Product + Niche Finder): Helps you find trending ClickBank offers (and for other networks too).
- Google Compliance Bot: Checks your ads and pages for Google policy issues.
- “Steal These Winners” case studies: Real examples from Chris Reader and testers showing what worked for them.
Most of the AI software and tools are only free for a certain time. After that, you’ll have to pay a minimum monthly fee of $250 to keep using them.
Does Velocity Profits Have Upsells?
Yes, Velocity Profits has upsells that include its own software and mentorship program that costs $15K to $20K. Although there’s no official mention of the upsells anywhere, some student reviews pointed it out. One was a YouTube review by Passive Affiliate Marketing Lab, while the other was a Reddit comment.

What Are Velocity Profits Students Saying?
Velocity Profits students are saying good things about the program. One Trustpilot reviewer noted that the course is well-structured, well-designed, and comprehensive. They also liked that the instructors genuinely want students to succeed.

Another Trustpilot reviewer said they had no complaints, but warned that it’s expensive. You don’t only pay for the program, but also for monthly subscriptions and ad spend. Overall, you’ll have to pay around $450 to $550 per week.

Joshua Elder, a popular affiliate marketing YouTuber, calls Velocity Profits one of the easiest ways to make money online. He praises the AI tools and done-for-you templates for video ads and landing pages. He also highlights the lifetime support and case studies. However, he admits that he’s promoting the course and even pushes his own bonus group.

Not everyone was happy with Velocity Profits, though. One Trustpilot review says they followed the course diligently for 3 months but only earned $90. The worst part was that they already spent a total of $8,000 so far.

A Velocity Profits Reddit review claims Chris Reader uses hooks and pain points to sell the program. But he downplays how many people struggle to get ads approved in Google Ads. Plus, the support doesn’t even help fix ads that keep getting rejected. They also say the success stories only make up 1% of the students.

What Is Velocity Profits Affiliate Program?
Velocity Profits affiliate program is a separate promo bonus for approved partners. If you’re accepted, you earn $2 for each new person you send who signs up (a “lead”). You need at least 25 sign-ups to get paid through PayPal. Also, it’s only available for people in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.
Because of the affiliate program, some reviews may be from people who earn a commission. They usually hype the course to encourage anyone to sign up. So take overly positive reviews with that in mind.
What Are Alternatives to Velocity Profits?
- Commission Hero AI by Robby Blanchard. This course teaches affiliate marketing using paid ads, mainly Facebook Ads. The “AI” side is a system that helps speed up things like picking offers, building pages, and writing ad copy.
- Super Affiliate System by John Crestani. This affiliate marketing course teaches paid traffic for 3 channels: Facebook, Google, and YouTube. It provides templates and testing to help you get quick results. Crestani also sells an AI add-on training, AI Marketers Club, that leans on AI prompts and a tool called Memetic AI.
- Affiliate Marketing Dude by Marcus Campbell. This course is about free traffic, mainly SEO, to send visitors to affiliate links. It also pushes the use of AI tools like ChatGPT to help create content faster.
Who Is Chris Reader?

Chris Reader is a successful affiliate marketer who’s said to make $25,000 profit in a day. He’s listed as a speaker at Affiliate World, including AW Asia 2022 and AW Europe 2022. ClickBank also verified that Chris’s students earned $364 million in affiliate payouts. This shows that Chris Reader knows his way around affiliate marketing.

Chris Reader offers several other courses, including:
- Profit Singularity Breakthrough ($2,497). Despite rebranding to Velocity Profits, Chris still offers the 2023 Breakthrough version. The only difference is that it leans more on US traffic and higher-priced health supplement offers instead of foreign YouTube traffic + more “compliant” niches + lower-priced offers.
- Call Profit Accelerator or No Sale Profit System ($2,497 or $997/month for 3 months). This is Chris’s pay-per-call affiliate program. Here, you run ads, send people to a phone call, and get paid per qualified call. The course includes offer selection (offers paying up to $50 per call), ad templates, AI help for ad copy, and step-by-step launch/scaling support.
- The 500 Funnel or 500-Day AI Funnel ($97 or $27 discounted). This is a 7-step AI kit that gives you done-for-you funnel pages and AI prompts to create a faceless YouTube ad. It also shows you how to launch and scale the campaign. The promise is that you’ll make $100 to $500 a day if you implement all the steps.
Who Is Mark Ling?

Mark Ling is a popular affiliate marketer who shares some of his expertise and strategies in Velocity Profits. The course’s earnings disclaimer calls it “Mark Ling’s products.” Some member pages are also labeled Mark Ling’s VIP Members. So while Chris Reader is the main face/instructor who teaches his methods in Velocity Profits, Mark Ling supports the program through VIP updates and the business/offer side.
What Are Chris Reader’s Claims?

Chris Reader claims that Velocity Profits provides a proven system to earn up to $1,000 per day. He backs that with proof that his students earned $364M from Clickbank commissions. He also claims his system does 90% of the work using copy-and-paste templates and AI tools. This way, you can enjoy semi-passive income.
What I like is that Chris Reader adds a reality check to those claims. He says he can’t promise you’ll get the same results as his top students. He explains that the numbers come from years of work by thousands of students, and your results may differ.
Do Copy-Paste YouTube Ads Work in 2026?
Copy-paste YouTube ads don’t work in 2026 because:
- YouTube/Google Ads runs on an algorithm. You don’t fully control who sees the ad. Google tests and pushes what performs best. With this, you usually need many new ad versions, not one copied template.
- Templates burn out fast. If lots of people use the same “copy-paste” script and video style, viewers get bored and skip. That means fewer clicks and higher ad costs.
- Rules are stricter for “make money” ads. If an ad sounds hypey or makes big income claims, it can get limited, rejected, or your account can get flagged.
- Ad formats are different now. YouTube shows ads in different places (Shorts, in-feed, and videos), so one copy-paste ad won’t fit them all. You often need different versions, like shorter vertical ads for Shorts.
- Tracking can make or break it. If your conversion tracking is wrong or incomplete, Google can’t “learn” what works, so it wastes your budget showing ads to the wrong people.
If your YouTube ads aren’t working, you won’t earn $1,000/day from affiliate offers, because Velocity Profits relies on this for traffic.
Is Velocity Profits Worth It?
Velocity Profits is not worth it because its copy-paste YouTube ads funnel is not reliable in 2026. Plus, it’s very expensive for the course, AI tools fees, and ad spend. If you’re not already an ad master, you’ll be losing more than earning.
What’s more, affiliate marketing gives you very little control over your business. You’re in the hands of the company’s product quality, stock, commission cuts, and rule changes. Usually, the commissions are very small margins, so you need a flock of buyers to earn a decent income.
If you’re looking for a cheap and secure business model, I recommend local lead generation. This is the business model I switched to after affiliate marketing and running paid ads. I used to make only $3,000/month. But with local lead gen, I now make $52,000/month!
Why Did I Switch From Affiliate Marketing to Local Lead Generation?
I switched from affiliate marketing to local lead generation because:
- I own the assets. I create service websites, rank them on Google, and sell the leads to small local businesses. I have full control over the website, leads, and partnership. With affiliate marketing, you rely fully on a company, its products, commissions, and policies.
- Local lead gen has higher profit margins. I keep about 90%-95% of what I earn after costs. Maintaining my websites costs around $30/month. Affiliate marketing margins are only 5%-50% and fluctuate a lot. Once you add AI tool fees and ad spend, you keep even less.
- Local lead generation has more predictable income. Local businesses always need more leads, so they’ll be willing to pay when you show leads/calls/forms already coming in. I was already earning a decent amount in 2-6 months. With affiliate marketing, you often sell products people don’t really need or can buy anywhere. When I did it, it took me about 12 to 18 months to start earning.
- It’s more passive after setup. A ranked local lead gen site automatically brings in visitors (quality leads). You can leave the sites alone and still earn. Affiliate marketing requires constant content and promotion. Even if you use AI to create your ads, there’s still testing and optimizing, which takes time.
- Local lead gen has lower competition. It’s pretty quick to rank your sites because you compete against small businesses in one area. Usually, these businesses aren’t great with local SEO. Affiliate offers compete worldwide against big publishers and super affiliates. You also compete against thousands of advertisers promoting similar products.
- It’s a lot easier to scale. All you need to do is build more websites, rank them, and find local businesses to sell the leads to. Affiliate marketing scales by chasing more traffic and keeping up with trends.
In my opinion, affiliate marketing with paid ads is like competing with Lebron James in the NBA. He has the experience, the reputation, the endorsement deals, and the massive fan base. Top affiliates already own the spotlight, the ad inventory, and the conversion data. Newcomers can run the same YouTube ads, but they still get outbid, out-tested, and drowned. Meanwhile, local lead generation is more like playing in the Naperville YMCA Men’s League. The competition stays local, the game stays simpler, and a solid player can become the go-to fast.
Local Lead Generation Is My #1 Business Model

Local lead generation is my #1 business model because it gives me the freedom to earn while I sleep or travel. With over 50+ websites, I make a monthly total of $52,000. But even with just one site, you can already earn from $2,000-$5,000. For example, my local lead gen site, Irvine Custom Granite Quartz Marble Countertops, 2452 Dupont Drive, Irvine, CA 92612, 949-998-3976 https://www.irvinecustomcountertops.com, generated 19 leads worth $32,964 just last month. After forwarding these leads to my client, I earned $3,296.40 in commission at a 10% rate.
However, I admit that local lead generation is not the easiest business out there. You need to learn a few skills, especially in local SEO. This is why I created a full local lead generation training course that you can check out. I’ve already helped 7,000+ students build their local lead gen sites and earn BIG each month. If you want to start right away, you can build and rank websites for one of my roofing clients. This will help you get a good idea of how the business model works while earning a 1% to 5% commission.
