How to Rank in Local SEO without Backlinks

Make Sure Your On-Page is On Point

Google doesn't have enough budget to read every word on your page and for millions of documents on the internet.

Therefore, they prioritize reading Heading 1, 2, 3 of your page. Page title, and keywords in your domain / URL.

You want to make it really easy to Google to understand what your page is about.

When it's easier to understand, its cheaper cost of information retrieval for Google and that makes Google happy.

So... this is one of the most important things to get right. Make sure to have the right keywords in your page title, URL, <H1>, <H2>, <H3>

too many people are putting random words in <H2>'s and <H3>'s

As I stated in the video, I would make sure I have all the major services at the very top of the site. Categories in a hierarchy under <H2>s. With much better pictures, if you wanna go one step further, all those pictures would be before & after pictures.

I made a quick mock up down below of what I was talking about using snapps.

First half of the homepage is what I like to call macro context.

It is words that are semantically most relevant to anyone that is searching for Handyman services.

This is also all the high buyer intent keywords that you want to rank for. These important keywords should be mentioned higher up on the homepage.

The second half of the homepage can be more useful info or unique content to show Google you have some uniqueness compared to other handyman websites.

Creating Unique Content on the 2nd Half of Homepage

I used my homepage outline generator to come up with the following outline. Notice how it properly lists all the services at the top of the page, I just added more services to it.

Then its adding more unique content towards the bottom of the page. You don't have to use all of them, but at least this gives you some ideas of some unique content you can cover and how to organize your content properly on the homepage.
