Adam Cherrington Review: What Is the 7 Pillars of Affiliate Marketing

November 5, 2024

Adam Cherrington is known for his Invisible Affiliate System. This system is an affiliate arbitrage strategy that leverages unique traffic sources. Adam offers a mentorship, referred to as the Cherrington Experience or Adam’s Method. He also sells a beginner course called the Invisible Affiliate System. His teachings are based on his 7 pillars of affiliate marketing.

Reviews for Adam Cherrington are mixed. Satisfied students highlight the value they received in his mentorship. Unsatisfied customers complain that Adam's cheaper programs deliver no value but lead to more upsells. Complaints have also cited the unsatisfactory coaching by Adam or his coaches.

Adam Cherrington’s team spends $50K/day on ad spend. Ads are expensive and highly risky. I made 6 figures from my affiliate marketing business back when the market was not as saturated. However, I moved to other business models due to rising costs and the unsustainability of paid ads.

In this article, you will learn all about Adam Cherrington and his 7 pillars of affiliate marketing. It will also cover his Cherrington Experience mentorship and Invisible Affiliate System course. I will share success stories and discuss affiliate marketing as a business model.

What Is the 7 Pillars of Affiliate Marketing?

The 7 Pillars of affiliate marketing is Adam Cherrington's guide to the "Invisibile Affiliate System" that he uses. This system is what Adam Cherrington's Experience is based on. The 7 core pillars are as follows:

  1. Business Model: Adam's Invisible Affiliate System uses an "Ad Arbitrage" method. It maximizes ad profits by exploiting traffic loopholes.
  2. Market & Product: The system teaches how to find profitable markets and products.
  3. Target Demographic: The system targets profitable, high-income buyers of advertised products.
  4. Invisible Traffic Source: The system uses less obvious traffic sources, not Google or Facebook. Adam calls them "invisible traffic sources."
  5. Execution Strategy: The system provides a plan to run marketing campaigns effectively.
  6. Tools and Automation: The system uses proprietary software. These automate much of the process and simplify managing affiliate campaigns.
  7. Mindset: The last pillar is about building a resilient, proactive mindset. It's key to overcoming the challenges of affiliate marketing.

Who Is Adam Cherrington?

adam cherrington review

Adam Cherrington is an expert affiliate marketer and mentor from Wylie, Texas. He runs an affiliate mentorship, the Cherrington Experience, and an ad agency, Cherrington Media. His agency manages over $40 million in online advertising campaigns for clients. He's a member of The Upper Room Church in Dallas. Adam Cherrington does not do affiliate marketing himself anymore. His 27-member team manages this business without active involvement on his part.

Born in San Benito, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley, Cherrington's parents ran a plant nursery. They divorced when he was seven, and at fourteen, he moved to Dallas to live with his mother and step-family.

At the University of North Texas, he supported himself through work and student loans. Financial troubles forced him to sell illegal drugs. He lost his apartment and his place at the university in six months. After attempting to smuggle drugs into Australia, he was caught by customs. His help in a sting operation cut his sentence from ten to three years.

At 24, he was released from prison and moved to San Antonio. He joined his father's pest control business while attending community college. His path shifted after taking an HTML/CSS class. While working night shifts at FedEx, he learned web development, including HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and SEO.

His first website, MadGuitarLicks.com, offered free guitar lessons. It earned $129,000 in its first year through affiliate marketing. He expanded to over 30 similar sites, generating approximately $500,000 annually. Google's "Penguin" update in April 2012 devastated his sites, reducing income by 90%. After a year of struggles, this setback drove him to media buying. It led to his current success in affiliate marketing.

Adam Cherrington’s net worth isn’t public knowledge, but we can speculate. In his first 3 years, he spent $30 million on paid ads. He made back $10 million. Within the next two years, he spent an additional $10 million. So, it’s likely that his net worth is around $12 million.

Todd Turner Reveals What To Expect Inside Adam Cherrington's Affiliate Course

Todd's Experience with Adam's 14-Day Program

There were tasks assigned for each day of Adam Cherrington's 14-day program. However, Todd could not access these resources. The issue was resolved only after the "coaching call." The calls were also not what he expected. They were group sessions on sales techniques, not affiliate marketing training. The additional sales videos and questionnaires weren't good either.

Todd's Verdict on Adam Cherrington's Program

The program was not effective for Todd. He was frustrated with the whole process because it did not meet his expectations. First, he encountered issues with accessing resources. Next, he felt that the coaching calls were more sales-oriented than instructional. The lack of value turned him off. He left the program feeling disillusioned and gave it a negative review.

Taigen values Adam's unique mentorship and access to his 10-15 year old, proprietary software. He also highlights the coaching, work feedback, and industry connections. These helped him avoid common pitfalls and wasted costs.

He took the 90-day mentorship, where he learned the essential processes. Sean saw results in 90 days and became profitable in under a year. He attributes his success to the program's tailored support and optimization strategies.

Is Adam Cherrington's Affiliate Marketing Method Worth It?

Adam Cherrington's affiliate marketing method is worth it if you have the capital to spare. Profit is not guaranteed, and you may even lose money in the first few months. Adam has several students who are spending $5,000 per day on ads, only to make $2,500 back. He also says that it can take 2 weeks before you earn any revenue and about 2 months before you see any profit.

Adam’s Method works best for the analytically minded. The method heavily relies on outsourcing. The creation of content, ads, and landing pages is all outsourced. This increases your operating costs and adds more risks. I would describe Adam's method as he describes affiliate marketing, "like gambling."

Is Affiliate Marketing Worth It in 2024?

Affiliate marketing is worth it in 2024, if you have a large audience, niche expertise, or a complementary business. Successful affiliates, like Smart Blogger, earn over $100,000 a year by promoting products to their readers. However, the market has changed drastically. Generic content is now ineffective due to AI saturation. Google now prioritizes content based on firsthand experience and expert knowledge. Creating quality content is time-intensive. Blog posts take 5-6 hours, and videos take over 7 hours to produce. Affiliate marketing suits those who can commit to a 2-4 year timeline of consistent content production.

How Profitable Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is highly profitable for skillful marketers. The average affiliate marketing earning is $8,038 monthly. Beginners start with $0-$1,000 monthly. Ad campaigns can generate a 1,400% ROI, with $1 generating $15 in returns if done well.

Revenue comes through pay-per-click, pay-per-lead, and pay-per-sale models. Conversion rates average 0.5-1%. Commissions are 20-70% in SaaS niches. Education, travel, and beauty niches earn $15,551, $13,847, and $12,475 monthly, respectively.

My Sustainable Alternative to Affiliate Marketing

Local lead generation is my recommended sustainable alternative to affiliate marketing. You don't sell anything or run any paid ads. This equates to low costs and low risks. Instead of promoting offers for commission, you instead drive traffic to local businesses. You do this by ranking a niche site on Google using SEO. This site would attract organic traffic looking for the specific service. You then rent out lead generating site to local businesses for monthly rent.

Instead of competing with thousands of affiliate marketers, you only need to outrank a few sites. You also earn stable passive income every month as long as your site is ranked. A local lead generation business is also highly scalable. Scaling an affiliate marketing business means outsourcing the work. This adds costs and risks. Scaling a local lead generation business is as simple as repeating the rank and rent process. This doesn't add any more risks. There is also no limit to how much you can scale. I operate many local lead generation sites which earn me $52K every month. It's worth checking out local lead generation for a long-term sustainable business model.

  1. He currently has a video about his Invisible Affiliate System and he is charging $67 for the system. He doesn't mention anything in the video about trying to upsell anyone, but after reading your article about him, that is now what I exactly expect him to do if anyone buys his $67 course. I'm guessing the $67 is meant to make people think it is just enough money to make you think it could be an actual course, but he plans to really try to get much more out of you once you join (at least, that is MY guess … and what usually happens with these type of things). Thanks for the article. It helped me to deduct that it will mean people will have to pay much more money once they get into the program – if they want to stay in the program.

  2. I found this information to be extremely informative. I recently found Adam’s training info online & wanted to give it a try, however, I fear that I do not have the necessary capital to make it work.

In the past, I’ve worked with Amazon affiliate marketing. I’ve run ads on Facebook, utilized Twitter & Instagram for lead generation with unsatisfactory results. Maybe I’ll give his program a try in the future.

    Thanks for the info.
