Copies of this reel were sent to all scouts and personal directors he could find. He then gets in touch with a staff member of the Seahawks. On the phone call, the member sees the video and allows him to try out. He was then accepted and played semi-pro football in a foreign country. However, he retired early because of an injury he sustained on his foot.

Following his retirement in football, Tony worked in a Dodge dealership as a salesman. He marketed automobiles and soon discovered his talent for it. In his first month alone, he was able to sell 23 cars, with the average salesperson selling 6-8 per month. He also had no prior experience in sales.

Accordingly, his strategy was complete transparency, customer-centric approach, and in-depth industry knowledge. He also admitted that his NFL background helped him. It was during this time that Tony earned the nickname “Tony The Closer.” He was in the auto industry for a total of 12 years.

Despite making a decent living from selling cars, he ended up in prison in 2017 for 63 days. This was because of his gambling addiction. After being released, he got counseling for six months.

After working on himself, Tony began to tread the world of real estate. After only 3 months, his earnings already totalled six-figures. In an episode of his Get Yo Ass Up podcast, Tony disclosed that it was his father who helped him get started with real estate. Accordingly, his father had more than 24 years of experience as an entrepreneur. He was in military service and eventually became a millionaire because of his success in real estate.

Tony Robinson’s reputation is primarily good because of his expertise in real estate and role in empowering the black community. However, he has been involved in lawsuits due to sweepstakes held in a 2019 conference and former partnership with Jay Morisson. He also has online feuds with alleged real estate scammers.

In his TikTok account, Tony posts testimonials from his students about the profits they have made because of his Rona Proof System. He is also a best-selling author. Additionally, his TV Network helps prioritize black creators.

It was in his “The 100k Club Conference 2019” that Tony organized a sweepstakes to boost ticket sales. It was marketed that attendees who purchased tickets via pay-per-view or in-person would “walk away with $100,000.” At the end of the event, Gaege Root won. However, Root only received $30,000, which he got after the conference was held. He then decided to file a lawsuit to demand the remaining $70,000. To his defense, Tony said that it was indicated in the Official Rules that there would be a payment schedule, to which Root said he was never made aware of.

Besides this, on the 2nd of June 2022, Judge Allen Baddour Jr. of the North Carolina Superior court had ruled that Tony had defamed Jay Morrison. Accordingly, Tony spent two years stating that Morrison was a thief, fraud, and a scammer, as well as began a petition on change.org to negatively impact Morrison’s reputation.
