Social Media Ads That Work Review – Jeremiah Krakowski (Cheap Facebook Ads Course 2024)

December 1, 2021

In the past couple of months, I've been getting bombarded by a Facebook Ad by an online entrepreneur selling his courses on social media ads and web creation.

For the last 17 years, he's helped businesses use the internet to make 7 and 8 figures on the internet.

His name is Jeremiah Krakowski, and I'd never heard of the guy before, so, before any of my readers buy any of his courses, I thought I'd check what all these ads are about!

Jeremiah has a YouTube, FB and IG presence through his #GrowYourLife University, where he offers a variety of courses, all very cheap, to help out newcomers to the world of affiliate marketing.

The numbers aren't crazy, and he has less than 500 subs on YouTube, his FB group has around 1000 people, but that shouldn't stop us from checking out if his products are legit, right?

I have reviewed the best Facebook Ads Courses so far, but how does Jeremiah's Social Media Ads That Work compare?

I won't waste any of your time, so let's get digging right into the details of this course! Like with all my reviews I will want to focus on specific questions and come back with them after describing the course with a definitive answer.

  • Is this course better than other Facebook Ads Courses out there?
  • Does the course deliver what it promises?
  • Is Jeremiah Krakowski a scam?
  • Most importantly, how much does the course cost? And is it worth the money?

Before we get into the details about the course, allow me to introduce myself. After all, you have to know what experience I have in the industry if you want to take my word for the review, right?

A lil bit about me... My name is Ippei...

Until 2014, I was working a corporate job that was taking me nowhere and was slowly killing me

Then I found a method to build and organically rank websites, generating leads for my clients.

I created the website you see above, for the tree care company, in 2015, and since then, without having to touch it in 5 years, it has brought me a passive income of $2000 a month. That's more than $100,000 in total and counting!

The Lead Generation business model is clearly the best way to generate passive income and escape the 9 to 5 rat-race. If you're interested, learn more about lead gen here!

No more talking about me, let's get right into the review!

Social Media Ads That Work works on the premise that, after Jeremiah's course, 'If you can learn a few simple things that work, you can turn every $1 you spend on ads into $2-5 in your bank account, even when the algorithms change'.

According to Jeremiah, you don’t need a big budget to get results with Social Media Ads. You just need to know how to do a few simple things that consistently get results!

Social Media Ads That Work

This course promises to provide exact strategies that only the top 1% of advertisers are using. It also assures that you will get results with less than $5-10 a day spent.

It is all about how to sell without actually selling by delivering your customers what they really want through ads, and secret research techniques for finding who your customer is and what to say to them.

Here is more preliminary info on the course, before diving in a module by module description.

  • Will teach you the simple 2-step formula to get a 400% increase on your ads.
  • You will learn how to increasing the conversion rates on all your ad campaigns to get more for your ad spend.
  • You'll understand how to create ads that always get approved.
  • Will teach how to manage your ad budgets effectively and how to read reports simply and effectively to create profit.
  • It will provide a start to finish guide to using the ads manager if you’re a total beginner.

Chapter 1: Social Media Ads That Work

In this introductory module, Jeremiah not only introduces us to his course (pretty standard video imo), but also gives us some freebies to start with.

His pdf manual is constantly updated and his hard truth on FB Ads are given out right at the start.

  • Lesson 1: Introduction.
  • Lesson 2: Updated PDF Workbook Download.
  • Lesson 3: "Training" Artificial Intelligence.
  • Lesson 4: Hard Truth About Facebook Ads.
  • Lesson 5: What is the Purpose of Advertising?
  • Lesson 6: Using Ads to Test Your Ideas.
Total Video Time: 18 minutes and 19 seconds.

Takeaway from Chapter 1:

In the Hard Truth About Facebook Ads, Jeremiah tells it how it is: your Ads are going to be banned by bots, blocked before they even make you any money. The trick is to persevere. Appreciate the honesty!

Chapter 2: Foundation

Here we start getting into the meat and potatoes of Facebook Ads, with lessons on campaigns and the mindset you have to have.

Jeremiah also gives a brief introduction to the concepts of marketing, selling and campaigning, in a clear and understandable way.

  • Lesson 1: Marketing.
  • Lesson 2: Think About Ads Differently.
  • Lesson 3: Sales.
  • Lesson 4: The Best Campaigns.
  • Lesson 5: Communication.
  • Lesson 6: Growing in Confidence.
  • Lesson 7: The Mindset of Ad Campaigns.
  • Lesson 8: Show People What They Are Going to Be Experiencing.
  • Lesson 9: Breaking the 4th Wall.
Total Video Time: 56 minutes and 53 seconds.

Takeaway from Chapter 2:

Since most of Jeremiah's Ads are made with a phone, in order to captivate the audience, you need to be confident being on camera, and the concept of breaking the 4th wall and making that vital connection with the buyer is a must.

Chapter 3: Facebook Ads Manager

This is where things can get a bit hectic. Luckily Jeremiah is a cool cat and he explains everything very clearly and in a step-by-step way.

Used to have problems with Ads Manager, audiences and crashes? Now you won't anymore (except, I think, the FB crashes).

  • Lesson 1: Changes to the Layout of Ads Manager.
  • Lesson 2: Setting Up the Business Manager.
  • Lesson 3: Opening the Ads Manager.
  • Lesson 4: Dealing with Crashes.
  • Lesson 5: Creating Your First Ad Campaign.
  • Lesson 6: Budgets, Campaigns and Paying Facebook Money.
  • Lesson 7: Creating a Traffic Campaign and Ad Set.
  • Lesson 8: Creating Your First Ad.
  • Lesson 9: Creating Variations Easily.
  • Lesson 10: Audiences Tab.
  • Lesson 11: Reading Reports.
Total Video Time: 1 hour and 09 minutes.

Takeaway from Chapter 3:

Jeremiah's really good at targeting audiences and split testing, and is equally good at teaching you how to do it. The last three lessons in this chapter are gold!

Chapter 4: Creating Your Ads

Are you able to connect to people's needs? Do you know what your customers want? If your answer is no, you're in luck, cos this is the subject of this chapter.

Jeremiah goes through ad creation pretty thoroughly, guiding you through the sometimes confusing Facebook Business interface.

  • Lesson 1: Mindset About Ad Creatives.
  • Lesson 2: Connecting to People's Needs.
  • Lesson 3: First 3-5 Seconds of Your Video Ads.
  • Lesson 4: Knowing What Your Customer Wants.
  • Lesson 5: The Energy of Ads.
  • Lesson 6: Keep It Simple.
  • Lesson 7: What Kind of Image and Copy Are Converting?
  • Lesson 8: Creating Graphics/Image Ads.
  • Lesson 9: Attention Grabbing Headlines Are So Important.
  • Lesson 10: Multiple Ad Sets and Using Existing Posts.
  • Lesson 11: Psychology of Retargeting Ads.
Total Video Time: 1 hour and 25 minutes.

Takeaway from Chapter 4:

Jeremiah is very clear, but I can't shake the feeling that some of the videos should have been longer, digging into the subject a bit more. Also, he really only goes into the kind of ads he makes and he thinks will convert, which is kind of obvious, but more variety would have been nice.

Chapter 5: Pixel and Tracking

Now onto one of the aspects of FB Ads that has confused many people wanting to learn more about this form of online advertising.

The scary and incomprehensible pixel. Luckily dedicating a whole section to it means that you'll know all you have to know about pixels by the time you've finished.

  • Lesson 1: GDPR & CCPA Info.
  • Lesson 2: What is the Pixel.
  • Lesson 3: Setting Up the Pixel.
  • Lesson 4: Installing on WordPress.
  • Lesson 5: Event Tracking Without Code the Easy Way.
  • Lesson 6: Event Code for Tracking.
  • Lesson 7: Other Pixel Events and Special Code Scenarios.
Total Video Time: 30 minutes and 10 seconds.

Takeaway from Chapter 5:

I get that Jeremiah uses WordPress and that he invites you to do the same, but some indication for other landing pages such as ones made with Clickfunnels would have made the chapter more complete.

Chapter 6: Custom Audiences & Targeting

So you've got your ad ready and you're feeling super-cool with your brand new pixel? What now?

Chapter 6 tells you exactly what now: you will need to find an audience for your ad, the right audience that can only be found with laser-like precision targeting!

  • Lesson 1: Creating Audiences With Website Pixel Data.
  • Lesson 2: Creating Lookalike Audiences.
  • Lesson 3: Retargeting Ad Targeting.
  • Lesson 4: Laser Targeted Lookalikes.
  • Lesson 5: Where do my Target Customers Exist on Social Media?
  • Lesson 6: Interest-Based Broad Targeting.
  • Lesson 7: Intent-Based Nurture.
  • Lesson 8: Specific Location Targeting.
  • Lesson 9: Traffic vs Conversion Targeting.
Total Video Time: 1 minutes and 12 seconds.

Takeaway from Chapter 6:

This is by far the best chapter in the course: everything is broken down into bite-size pieces that are easy to follow, understand and assimilate. Bravo, Jeremiah!

Chapter 7: Best Practices

Now you know almost everything there is in the course, and you could go off and fire out your first ads if you so wanted.

But chapter 7 is reserved for golden pieces of advice that Jeremiah wants to give his students.

  • Lesson 1: Energy Level.
  • Lesson 2: Fighting Ad Fatigue.
  • Lesson 3: Test Your Ideas Out.
  • Lesson 4: Swipe File.
  • Lesson 5: Faces Work Best.
  • Lesson 6: Get Into Some Funnels.
  • Lesson 7: Keep Testing Things Out.
  • Lesson 8: Best Practices for Copy.
  • Lesson 9: Best Practices Around Creatives and Perspective.
  • Lesson 10: Exclusion.
Total Video Time: 54 minutes and 33 seconds.

Takeaway from Chapter 7:

Jeremiah's advice throughout the course is that the ads with the highest conversion are the ones where you put your face and talk to the potential buyers. It would have been nice if more time had been dedicated to other examples of images/videos.

Chapter 8: Reports and Data

Even once you discontinue your ad, that doesn't mean you're done. Some would argue that the most important part is yet to come.

Jeremiah is one of them: analyzing the data and the reports you get back from an ad campaign allows you to avoid making the same mistakes and to fine tune your future campaigns.

  • Lesson 1: Introduction to Reports and Data.
  • Lesson 2: VideoData.
  • Lesson 3: Dealing With Rejected Ads.
  • Lesson 4: Reading Video Engagement Reports.
  • Lesson 5: The Value of  'Zero Engagement'.
  • Lesson 6: Turning Data Into Sales.
  • Lesson 7: Lowering Cost.
  • Lesson 8: Delivering Results From Data.
  • Lesson 8: Dealing With Ad Fatigue.
  • Lesson 8: What Ads Get Rejected?
  • Lesson 8: Refreshing the Algorithm.
Total Video Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Takeaway from Chapter 8:

The video on the importance of ads that don't convert is the most important thing I learned in this chapter. Learning from your mistakes is fundamental if you want to master the art of Facebook Ads.

Chapter 9: Bonus Training

Just so he wouldn't leave you without saying goodbye, Jeremiah planned his bonus chapter for the end of the course.

Here you'll find tips and tricks to refine your ad mastery, such as ideas for Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads.

  • Lesson 1: Setting Up Google Ads.
  • Lesson 2: Creating a New Google Campaign.
  • Lesson 3: LinkedIn Ads.
  • Lesson 4: Keyword Research for Google Ads.
  • Lesson 5: Conclusion.
  • Lesson 6: Adding Caption to Videos.
Total Video Time: 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Takeaway from Chapter 9:

I really don't know what to think of this chapter. Usually, bonus chapters contain DFY materials, blueprints or successful case studies. Here things seem to have been thrown in for no particular reason, and don't prove to be too useful for someone who bought a Facebook Ads course.

The Verdict: The Good & The Bad

Before I go on and rate the pros and cons of Jeremiah's course, I want to reply to those early questions I'd set down, and that anyone reading a review wants to know immediately.

  • Is this course better than other Facebook Ads Courses out there?
  • Does the course deliver what it promises?
  • Is Jeremiah Krakowski a scam?
  • Most importantly, how much does the course cost? And is it worth the money?

So is this course better than other Facebook Ads courses out there? Yes and no. For the price you're paying you're getting bang for your buck. If you want to spend something more, there are products that offer much more quality and quantity.

The course does deliver what it promises: a ton of video content, a pdf workbook to print out and guide you through the intricate parts of FB advertising.

Jeremiah is competent and knows what he's doing, and a lot of his students seem to be very happy about his work and the help he has given them.

Is he a scam? Heck no. The guy has been making money on FB Ads for 10 years, that's an eternity. He's gone through all of Facebook's change in policies and regulations and he's still hitting it.

As for the price of the course, it's only $47: you got me right, forty-seven bucks. And for what you're getting, that is very very cheap.

PROS:

  • Jeremiah is clear and good at teaching newbies.
  • He's made his clients 6 or even 7 figure returns through his ads.
  • The videos are short and to the point.
  • It's only $47. Unheard of.

CONS:

  • There are better courses on this topic out there
  • Sometimes the videos are just too short.
  • It's a course made on a budget and it shows.
  • Not the best online business model in 2020.

My Experience with Running Paid Advertising

Now don't get me wrong: I am not knocking Jeremiah down at all. For that price, the course delivers the goods! I just  think Facebook Ads are  not the most cost-effective way of making money online in 2020.

I run a $50K per month lead generation business, but all of my leads are generating through free traffic or SEO. So it's pretty much passive income, I don’t have to worry about the performance of my ads or anything.

I don't know even where to start when talking about the use of Facebook Ads:

Reasons why I don't like Facebooks Ads.

  • Firstly, they can fail spectacularly: you can follow all the templates you want, but sometimes FB Ads just don't work, and you're left pumping more money trying to resurrect a dead ad. That money slowly bites a chunk in your finances.
  • Secondly, after a while, your ad will exhaust its lifespan. Those who were supposed to click on it, already have, and no matter how much cash you throw at it, it just ain't worth the hassle.
  • Lastly, banking all your chips on Facebook Ads is very risky business: your money is going to be spent without any guarantee. Sometimes you'll get returns, other times you won't and you'll need to be monitoring the ad constantly: chances are that, with a low return of investment,  you are potentially going to lose money.

Like I just said, I run a $50K per month lead generation business, but all of my leads are generated through free traffic or SEO. The website I create ranks on the first page of Google, in the so-called map pack, and the leads just start rolling in.

We're talking passive income: I don’t have to worry about the performance of my ads or anything. Once my site ranks it generally stays ranks with very little to no maintenance.

Don’t get me wrong you can still make money running FaceBook Ads but its very challenging to keep over the long term.

The problem with Facebook ads is that you are constantly looking at your CTR and conversion rate. How many people are clicking on your ad, and out of those people, how many actually end up buying what you are advertising?

If things go wrong, it's back to tweaking, spending more money, trying a different approach. Facebook Ads are unreliable at best: believe me, I spent a lot of cash into them before moving into free traffic lead generation.

For all these reasons, I still recommend people look into doing lead generation with free traffic, because then you have full control over the lead gen properties so clients have to keep paying you, and not have to pay FB’s expensive ad fees.

Conclusion

From my experience, Facebook marketing really depends on the niche & the product & service you’re offering.

Sure there are niches that work with Facebook Ads, but the problem is there are many niches that really struggle with Facebook Ads.

Unlike Facebook Ads, if you know how to generate leads with free traffic, you can virtually go into any niche and create amazing results for yourself.

That’s how 90% of my multiple 6 figure income is generated. And I should add that it's passive income: see free traffic never stops.

In 2020, even during Covid-19, I continue to build more lead gen sites and I write at least 1 blog post for this site, because I’ve come to realize that these are the high-income producing activities, because it directly increases my free traffic every month.
