Could you use extra cash in your pocket?
We all could-- and the best part is that making money on the side has never been easier.
From reselling products to charging scooters during your spare time, there's something for everyone to enjoy and inflate their wallets while they're at it.
Here are 127 side hustles you can start today:
1. Uber/Lyft
Got a car? You’ve got access to the ultimate side-gig.
On your commute to work, after work, or after dropping the kids off at school-- you can run this side-gig anywhere it fits in your schedule.
Get strangers where they need to be and earn a flat ride fee plus tips.
Early morning riser or night owl, Uber is convenient for anyone looking to make some quick cash.
2. DoorDash/Postmates
People get hungry and lazy at the same time, which is why there’s such a huge market for food delivery in general.
Similar to other ride-sharing apps, you’re using your phone to fulfill customer demands.
Through your app, you’ll receive customer orders, pick up food, and drop it off to a destination set by the customer.
No car? No problem. Food delivery couriers can often get by with a scooter or bicycle.
3. Task Rabbit
Getting household tasks done on a whim no longer requires a pre-set appointment after calling around town.
As a Tasker, you’ll help people with everyday tasks like mounting a TV, moving out of their home, general cleaning, and much more.
You get flexibility and versatility through the work you do while making some decent cash.
Win-win for all.
4. Sell items on Craigslist
We’ve all got some junk laying around that we swear we’ll put to use eventually until the time comes to get rid of it.
Used clothing, shoes, toys, video games-- there’s somebody out there willing to pay for your old stuff and an entire online marketplace dedicated to selling it.
You’d be surprised at what’s selling on Craigslist these days.
Peruse your daily classified section to gauge how much things are going for in your local area.
5. Airbnb
You don’t need a vast real estate portfolio or even an extra rental home to take advantage of the 150 million user platform.
In fact, you can rent out a spare bedroom in your home for weary travelers or even look into renting your entire home to pay down debt or build up a savings account.
This option has become increasingly popular as hosts use income generated from Airbnb to pay off mortgages sooner or essentially live in their homes rent-free.
Make sure you do your research regarding your state/county laws/legal implications before turning to this option.
6. Manage Airbnb Rentals as a co-host
Even those who don’t have a spare room or home to rent out can still make money with Airbnb!
Making money on Airbnb doesn’t come without its time and financial expenses.
Constant cleaning is required to keep the property up to standards. Plus, things tend to break or need repairs.
Hosts with multiple properties and busy schedules can outsource the property management aspect to a co-host. Airbnb allows up to 3 co-hosts for a single listing.
As a co-host, you’ll oversee the upkeep and management of the property while being an excellent guide for your guests.

You can make money by killing time online and completing surveys.
Surveys encompass a wide range of industries from health to parenting.

Yet students who enrolled in a tutoring program experienced an overall success rate 7% higher than those not enrolled in a program.
These findings are indicative that expanding tutoring services both on and off of college campuses would be beneficial for college students.

Whatever you specialize in, you can have a fun time teaching it to children and making money while doing so.
Some of the more popular children’s programs include arts and crafts and cooking.
121. Clean and restore shoes
Investing in high quality shoes requires routine maintenance and extra delicate care.
If you know your way around shoe cleaning tools and materials, turn your hobby into profit.
Use social media to showcase your finished work. Stock up on some extra cleaning sprays and brushes to upsell your customers.
122. Sell Your Stuff
Selling the things that you already own is a great way to give yourself an income boost before you decide to invest in a side-hustle or a full-blown business.
Selling your stuff technically doesn't require any money to get started (assuming you already have stuff to sell)...
And in as little as five minutes, you can list an item on sites like:
Competition is probably going to be low.
The reason being is that there will always be people selling their belongings, but we all have unique items that others aren’t selling.
And while there’s some big company that is likely selling the same product, many people prefer buying locally and secondhand.
Profit margins for this one are a mixed bag.
If you bought a gaming console in 2007 for $400, you can only hope for a sale today between $50 and $100, max.
However, if your parents bought you one, your profits are going to be 100%, even if you sell it for the same price.
(But either way, this is a side-hustle based on getting liquid cash NOW, as opposed to a way to keep making money on the side in the long-term.)
Some great products to sell are children’s toys that you used to play with.
You can ask your parents for your old LEGOs, balls, dolls, or action figures and sell them on Craigslist to parents of excited kids.
You can easily sell a big box of LEGOs for up to $100, and make a quick $10-$50 bucks on an old toy that you still have - not crazy money, but it definitely adds up.
But you can also make some good money by selling things like:
123. Host Airbnb House Parties
This is definitely an interesting one...
But keep in mind this works better for high school and college kids (or people who attend parties often and know others who do also).
Most house parties nowadays charge a fee.
Now Airbnb: the average stay is around $110 per night, and the idea is to pay for an Airbnb stay, and then invite a bunch of people over, having them pay to get in.
Say you’re charged $110 for a reasonable Airbnb rental for one night.
Then you invite a bunch of people over, charging them $10 at the door.
You’ll only need 11 people throughout the night to come through to break even.
You can easily charge more, and much more easily host a party with more than ten people.
For hosting parties, there will be some competition, because your target market will no doubt have other options…
There are plenty of parties to go around on a Friday or Saturday night.
However, people often hop from party to party - and at that point, you’ll have already collected your entrance fee...
Plus, there will be less of a chance of overcrowding if people leave, so there will be less of a risk of damage to the home or the cops being called over a noise complaint).
One thing to be careful of though is monitoring and preventing underage drinking, you’ll be responsible if the police come to shut down the party.
It's best to check ID's at the door.
Also take care not trash the place, and always follow Airbnb host rules, because your Airbnb host will definitely charge you for any damage done.
All-in-all, this is a somewhat risky play - underage drinking, rowdy guests, and noise complaints can all cut your profits short.
However, it has some great profit potential, and to be honest, what makes money that also doesn’t also have risk?
124. Resell Clothes
Online influencers often get to enjoy clothing sponsorships, where they wear free clothing and get paid to do it.
However most of us can't get this type of deal, but reselling designer clothing comes pretty close - and is much cheaper to do than it sounds.
Reselling clothing is simple - there really are only four steps to it:
One of the most resalable clothing brands is Supreme.
Like it or hate it, Supreme items retail for as low as $30 and can be resold for prices as high as $2,000.
While most items won’t resell for such insane amounts, this gives you an idea of how much you stand to make.
But this isn’t just for Supreme.
Nearly all designer brands release items in limited quantities, which makes them sell out quickly.
You can easily start with $30 and end up with thousands of dollars worth of clothing.
You just need to do your research and find out which pieces will go up in value.
Startup costs can be as low as $30 (if you can grab a Supreme shirt at retail), but the more you have to spend, the faster you’ll make money.
Competition can be nonexistent (if it’s a rare piece that isn’t currently being sold), or extremely high (if tons of people are selling it).
General profit margins are usually between 30% to 70% percent, but for the most “hyped” pieces, they can exceed 95%.
You can find buyers all over the internet, but some of the best places are Grailed, Goat, StockX, and Facebook.
Just be careful of scammers!
Never take payment via Paypal Friends and Family, and never take your conversation off of the platform you’re selling on.
125. Resell Sneakers
Sneaker resale is the big brother of clothing resale.
Bigger startup costs, bigger profit margins, and bigger amounts of cash for each item sold.
There is no shortage of sneakers that retail for $125-$250 that resell in perfect condition for over $1,000 or even $2,000.
And the process is exactly the same as it is for clothes: buy a pair of shoes, wait for the value to go up, and sell for a profit.
(Just like clothes you’ll need to do research to figure out which shoes will increase in value.)
But of course, there is one glaring downside:
If you want to make the most money, you can’t wear the shoes.
“Deadstock,” or as-new shoes, sell for much, much more than worn shoes - even if you wore them once or twice.
Clothes don’t have this issue.
The soles wear down quickly, the smell changes instantly, the materials get creased, and the fabric itself slightly deteriorates.
Either way, if you’re planning on starting, you’ll need to compete with robots that go and buy sneakers almost instantaneously upon their retail drop.
It is hard to get new clothing drops, but much harder to get a new sneaker drop.
Good bots can cost you thousands of dollars, but the average bot lies just around $50 per month.
If you don’t want to pay for this, you should consider waiting in line for the shoes’ drop at your nearest retail outlet.
If this sounds like a good side-gig for you, I would strongly recommend starting with Nike Air Jordan 1's.
Many of the shoes under the Jordan 1 model have gone on to resell many times higher than their retail price.
Collaborations with celebrities like Travis Scott and brands like OffWhite will also be more resalable, but will cost you more at the retail level.
Like clothing, you can sell shoes on StockX, Goat, Facebook Marketplace, and other online store platforms such as Poshmark or ThredUp.
And again, be careful of scammers.
Keep your conversations within the selling platform and don’t receive money via Paypal Friends and Family.
126. Resell LEGOs
People make millions off of stocks...
But only after putting in thousands or waiting years and years.
People have made millions off of cryptocurrency.
Either by getting lucky by investing in crypto before the price blows up, or spending hours every day researching and day trading.
There are plenty of other examples.
People make millions of dollars off of strategic investments, but in order to do so they often have to spend thousands of dollars to do so.
But what investments are there for those of us that don’t have hundreds, or even tens of thousands of dollars to spare?
Something we all know and once loved…
LEGOs.
The idea of resale is buying something at retail and selling it later secondhand for a profit.
This only works when the value of the item actually goes up, which can only happen if there is limited production or for other reasons, limited supply.
LEGOs can resell for 10% of their value… or nearly 700%.
For a 2 dollar item, 700% is no big deal… But some LEGOs can retail for upwards of $100, and sometimes for over $2,000.
And when resold?
Well, depending on how many sets are in supply, and how the demand for the set is... the prices can exceed $7,000.
And LEGO mini figures can reach similar prices.
The idea is simple, but like all resale efforts, there is risk and definitely a learning curve.
If you want an in-depth guide, this Flipsy article is a great place to start, but I’ll just list a few key points here:
With these, it’s obvious that for the items of the highest resalability, the competition is slim to none.
For those where you will barely break even, or even lose money, the competition will be extremely high.
It’s typically pretty easy to pick up sets that most people won’t have, but it’s important to read that guide to make sure you don’t end up with a valueless set on your hands.
There are two very important things to take in mind.
Let’s say you got your lego set… you paid hundreds for some sets that over time will double, triple, or quadruple, in value (like the 1,100% increase of this set).
But it’s not quite time to get rich.
First of the considerations is that it can take years for the price to reach its maximum...
Not a huge deal until you realize that occasionally, LEGO may release a second version of the set which can hurt the resale price of the first.
It’s good to have a set point at which to sell the set.
Secondly, if you want to make the most money, you can’t touch the set.
No dents on the box, no rips and tears, and definitely do not take out the bags and build the set.
If you want to enjoy the investment you’re making before you sell it, go back up to side hustle number 10.
Reselling LEGOs is for profit only, not enjoying the investment while you wait for payday.
But it’s damn good for making said profit...
127. Stream on Twitch
Twitch streamer “Ninja,” who rose to popularity with the massive game Fortnite, makes an estimated $15m per year, just by playing video games.
He’s not an anomaly either: dozens of other streamers make high six-figures or seven-figures each year.
(If you didn’t know, streamers make money through donations, monthly subscriptions, selling merch, brand deals, and posting affiliate links that their followers buy from, giving them a cut of the sale.)
Even the smaller streamers can make $1,000 per month, provided they’re entertaining enough to get their viewers to subscribe and donate.
Even discounting merch and affiliate links, that’s not bad, considering the millions of gamers who play for fun, and don’t even think about streaming.
The great thing about streaming is that it has no cost whatsoever.
It doesn’t have to be a waste of time, because for the two-thirds of Americans who play video games, only a small portion of them do it as a job…
So in other words, why not stream while you play?
There are some potential startup costs, though.
Primarily, you will need some pretty high-grade internet to stream video games AND play them online.
You may need to buy an ethernet cable to get a better internet connection, or at worst, pay higher monthly costs to your ISP for greater bandwidth.
While certain games don’t require any internet to play, the most popular games like Escape from Tarkov, Valorant, Apex Legends, and Fortnite all require a certain amount of bandwidth to play.
Plus, it just so happens that running a high-quality stream on a game that uses the internet can heavily affect the performance of the game...
And therefore the entertainment value of the stream.
You’ll also need to be skilled at the games you play and have an entertaining, comedic personality.
And the competition is… more than steep.
Probably the most hardcore competition out of any item on this list.
First of all, you have people with absolutely no life outside of games who just play video games all day, streaming or not.
This means if they are at all entertaining to watch, fans will always be able to tune in, so they’ll get more views.
Secondly, with so many people, only the most entertaining and the most skilled will make the big bucks.
One caveat is that a LOT of streamers are little kids, and unfortunately for them, more mature audiences typically don’t like to tune in...
Either way, if you’re a gamer with good internet, this is a no-brainer.
Simply sign up on Twitch (you’re going to want to stream on there, nowhere else is worth it), and start streaming your games whenever you play them.
If you want to learn how to set up the software to stream, it’s pretty simple.
Free softwares like Streamlabs work just fine, and if you need a specific tutorial, you can refer to this guide.
Lastly, I would recommend not going all in with this…
It may be easier than the broader entertainment industry to get “big,” but it still is entertainment…
You don’t want to throw your life away playing video games in hopes of becoming the next Tfue, Ninja, or Pokimane.
These Side Hustle Ideas Can Work, but Lead Gen is Better... Here's Why:

Some are good, some are bad… some are short-term, and some can be long-term...

Although you may have the time, as you advance in your career, schooling, or even your leisure activities, your time becomes more valuable.
This is why it’s important to start transitioning into either conventional work… or a side-hustle that can turn into a full-blown business that you can run from your home.
In other words, you can’t be a full-time Uber driver and expect the freedom that most entrepreneurs are able to afford.
That is why I’ve saved the best for last - a truly unmatched side-hustle that has unlimited potential and has changed the lives of thousands of people in the last few years (including yours truly…)
Ever wonder about the process that takes you from a quick, local Google search to speaking with a business owner in minutes?
The process that may seem like something small to you - but is completely make or break for the business owner that you’re speaking to?
This is exactly what local lead gen taps into, and the reason it is so important to business owners is the same reason that it can make you so much money:
This “process” brings customers through the doors or calling the phone, which in-turn keeps the business from going completely belly up.

Of course, there will be a point when you outsource your working, paying someone a low wage for the low-skill labor needed to get a website ranking.
Then, you’ll have people setting your appointments, then you’ll have people selling…
And soon enough, your lead-gen business will run on autopilot.
Take it from me - I started out working a 9-5 (and trying every side-hustle under the sun)...
And after a few short years of local lead generation, I’ve been able to generate over $50k in profits per month, consistently!

No, it’s not a get rich quick scheme…
You’ll need to work hard to develop the skills, and even harder to apply them consistently.
But if you have real hustle, this will free you from the constraints of a 9-5 job, and put you on the long path to passive income...
Rather than reading about 126 side hustles you can do to make an extra buck.
Local lead generation ranks supreme out of all other business models and side hustles because of the following:
I might switch to streaming soon lol I could not believe the income they get, I wish I could talk to those people and ask some advice on how they did it
Always good to ask for advice from someone who has had success.
Focus Group is a great Idea.
